haven't posted much, tend to check in a couple forums from time to time, some non-knife related...

really going through a bunch of madness, yeah still all from this crazy accident and I'm done with it... wife just broke down again a little while ago and it just pisses me off because there's nothing I can say or do... I hate the helpless feeling, and I sure don't like posted negative crap all the time I'm sick and tired of it...

so on a lighter note...

thought Warrior would want to know I named my TBallers "The Warriors".... merely a coincidence I assure you...

Thanks for the encuragement guys! I didn't think there would be anyone against buying this axe. My girl and I drove down to LL bean late last night to pick this up. Now I have to learn how to use it safely and effectivly. With the gift cards the total came to $6.79, not bad!

Very sharp. I haven't done an paper cutting tasks or anything like that but if I could get all my knives this sharp it would be awesome.

The only thing I am worried about is keeping that sharpness.

Ha!, yeah asked my girl on the way home if she understood that this is not my last axe. She sighed.

Hope I can find some flea market deals like you have posted.

Any advice on sharpening this thing?

The forest service puts out a publication "An axe to grind" that is a free download. It's really a fun read and has great tips (and they have a companion video that will lock you up for a while too). I strop mine with wet/dry on a sanding pad and get them all shaving. It's a blast digging through flea markets and junk shops for old axes.
