Ring Guard Bowie Progression

Thanks everyone for the great compliments!!!

I am glad you all like it.

Hi Jon,

What you said about Kevin cutting himself is a possibility. I had Caleb take some video of me spinning the knife and cut myself deep enough for it to bleed quite a bit on my arm. :o I'll show you the cut when Caleb edits the video. The blade wasn't even sharpened yet.

Again thank you all for the kind words.

Your parents buy you books and get you through school, and you still play with those fabulous knives you make and cut yourself! ;) :D

Just a great result, Kyle! As much time as you had to put into making that ring guard, I would have to spin that baby a time or two myself.

Kyle, I've emailed you about how much I think of you and your work, but I just wanted to state publicly that I hold you and your work in the highest regard. You, sir, are already one heck of a knife maker and I can only wonder at your work say, ten to twenty years from now. All I have to say is people better jump on board now! Best of luck to you, Kyle, although I don't think you need it, lol!

Kyle, that's a masterpiece and a knife I would be VERY proud to own. Absolutely awesome work!!!

Hi Rob.
I will display the knife with the ring guard installed, however serious considering having a wood display box made so I can display the bowie, sheath, take-down tool and spare clamshell guard all together.

Hey Kevin, I am not one who tells others what to do but....You must follow up on your idea to display the knife and all of the components!!! :D

All kidding aside, it would look wonderful as an all inclusive display vs. having the clamshell guard, wicked tool, and cool sheath not laid out with that hot mama of a knife. Would love to see a pic if you decide to go that route.

Hello Mr Royer,
I love your knifes and all your work!
sorry my Englisch is verry bad
but I just wanted to say that.

LOL Just josh'n 'ya! :D

I am most impressed by your ever growing skills and consistent production of such high end pieces.

Keep it up Kyle!

This knife just left my hands for it's new steward. It's going to outlive all of us. ;)

Incredibly sweet. My version soon.
