I am bored and havent been on here in forever. I am thinking about trading my BK9 for a BK15, thoughts? I already have a 2 and the 2 does everything the 9 does.

You can't not have a 9. There's a law or something I think.

Don't never not have a nine.

Dubz, we went to Nashville on an acquisition mission instead.

We didn't either. 30° is one thing, but 30° with 25mph winds out of the north over a lake is another, haha. We opted for the cabin instead. We did a small hike yesterday. Will post some photos tomorrow.

Mayhaps I ask what you went to acquire?

Very nice running Guyon!!

It says the best time was 20:22... Damn you was right behind first place, thats awesome.

I ran a 5K in South Korea -ONCE- but they had people handing beer to the runners... My time wasnt as good LMAO

In the army i could max pushups and situps. But the run.... Man i HATED the run. My best 2 mile time was a 13:42. And i trained hard trying to get my best time. There were times when i first joined i barely passed the run. And i was always a skinny guy but still running and me just dont get along LMAO In fact i only did the 5K in Korea to get out of some other thing id have to do.... And because i was told there would be free beer HAHAHA

Anyway great job. Im tired from the pictures. :D

WW - congrats on orange. Looks good. Really nice micro-axes.

Also, I'm with you, re: running. Whether it was the Navy or the Marine PFT, I could always max the sit-ups, push-ups and pull-ups but would really suck on the run - time wise. I could run forever, but never fast. Didn't matter if it was a 1.5, 3, 5 or 10 mile run - 8.5 minute/mile average. Short runs, I'd be left in the dust. Long runs, anything over 8 miles, I'd eventually turtle past everyone. Put a pack on us and I'd catch them faster. Probably came from 4 years of running with a 43 pound tuba around my neck. When we really screwed up in a drill practice (Texas Aggie Band), the band would run, with instruments, for 3 to 6 miles, which was 1 or 2 trips around the campus golf course, which was near the band drill field. I absolutely hated those damn piccolos and flutes.

Certainly. Kay found one of those L shaped steel secretary's desks she's been looking for to put sewing machines on. Woohoo.....:D

Sweet. Does this mean she'll be making more drawstring bags?

Those are awesome. I been wanting to get a sewing machine just cause asking my sister to hem a pair of pants or a sleeve for me is a pain in my tail cause she HAS a sewing machine but she sucks at using it.

She was supposed to get an OLD foot pedal one from my grandmother but my aunt ruined that plan. She blocked anyone in the family from getting anything they were supposed to from the house and now the house is condemned and yeah everything inside is ruined. She was a hoarder something fierce.

I have gotten two. One at GLIB and one at Ethan's. I kind of wish I could repay Kay sometimes cause she is awesome! Trade ain't half bad neither! :D

Like one of those Lee Valley "Stone Ponds"? Rectangular metal rods to hold the stones in water upside down and then flip over and fit into the slots on the tub? Pictures, fer cryin' out loud! That is an AWESOME find for $4. No one here in NH will sell anything that they haven't done a full internet search on and figured out the maximum they can price it at.....I NEVER find deals like that. EVER. And I travel around the state for work, so it's not for lack of looking.....

i found a guy the other week pulling shit out of a nearly rotting barn, and it was ALL over the map. a lot of trash really...

saw he had a box of old this and that... splitting wedges, and well, it was nasty, and rusty, and i wouldn't have even asked, but he offered "$100 for the whole box"...

uhm, no :D i couldn't probably bought like new for less. none of it was special. shit, i don't think the box would have survived being picked up and carried.

i poked around a bit, hoping to find a nice saw or axe head. nope. most all of that crap was relatively new, 20-30 years at most, and all of it junk.

oiy :D

Today is a historical day! I GOT TO SLEEP IN!!!!! First time in almost 5 years. Wife took the kids down stairs and closed the bedroom doors for once. Got a solid 10 hours, I feel so energetic now!

Yeah, it was one of those nights last night.
"This'll come in handy when the coroner finds us" :D

Although, I wouldn't suggest the normal moron try this a home. we are professional morons!

Just for fun, I e-mailed those vids to your home insurance agent. You're welcome :D

Speaking of winter coming... my one cat is by far the furriest I've ever seen her already. Yet another sign of a bad winter coming :grumpy:

Yesterday was gorgeous, though. Spent all afternoon outside getting the garden torn up and adding more compost. Perfect blue sky, sunshine, warm enough to not wear a jacket, cool enough to not sweat.

Oh yeah... keep an eye peeled for the Annual THK pre-Thanksgiving/Hunting Season Sale. I'll be posting a few various knives some time today or tomorrow... ;)

Breakfast this morning... Scrambled eggs with spicy sausage and pepperoni, on a cheddar jalapeno bagel, topped with mozzarella and provolone cheeses. Morning winning!

Seriously winning. Tho I would've exploded like Mr. Creosote if I'd eaten the whole thing.

Cleaners? I have one of those.....it's me. And he's sick and tired of being the only one who waxes the kitchen floor.

Blasting cabinet is on my WANT to GET list.

With the little cutouts on these hawks its hard/time consuming trying to clean up all the waterjet marks/scale/oxidation in the cutouts. Im getting them done but its taking a while per piece. I cant sand too much or file in the cutout because a little too much will change the way the 1/4" bit driver holds the bits. And i dont want that. 1 thing i never liked about some pocket tools is how the bit would slide through, or you had to use an o-ring to hold the bit in place. Thats not an issue with these. The bolt cutout however WILL slide through, its still fully functional.. But that cutout is meant for looks really anyways. I doubt it would get used too often. How often do people need to undo a bolt with a .43" head really LOL

But i found a decent cabinet thats 22'x17" with built in light for 85 bucks thats just 45 minutes away... Hard to NOT think of getting it.

But the wife wants me to wait on the blasting cabinet until we move.... I dont really have the space, and it would be just 1 more thing to move all the way down south. Plus id also need a nice sized air compressor...that makes 2 more items to buy and then move... My father has a big air compressor though.. When we first move we will be staying at my fathers house for a while until i get my land cleared and buy the home. Smarter probably to just wait till we get there to get a blasting cabinet. Plan to move July/August so i guess thats not TOO far away.

Im starting to ramble on talking to myself now... Breaks over, back to work.

Yeah, something we tried and liked when my daughter was little. With 3 under 5 both the wife and I have a hard time keeping up with the house work. To keep the wife's OCD in check we get a team of cleaners in twice a month. The 4 of them get more done in one hour then I can all day while chasing around the wee ones.
