First night it's cold enough to even consider turning on the heater and the dang pilot light won't stay lit.

Hmmm, these are definitely works of machining art. However, they have no ergonomic value to them. Vik gave me a pair of them a couple of years ago. I use the for a bushing plates for any Becker bolt patterns I use.

If i had a nickel for every time i rolled my eyes at the word "tactical" on a product id be able to buy one of those badass grinders you got LOL

I told my wife a while back that companies should have to pay a premium just to use the word tactical in their description of a product... Then maybe they would think twice about saying things are tactical when they are not. It really annoys me to see stuff like a 5 dollar plastic flashlight saying tactical on it... Soon as you drop it, it breaks...No O-rings so the slightest bit of water hits it and its ruined.. I literally stood looking at the light for a good 5 minutes trying to figure out what makes it tactical. Nothing.
 
I've seen some pics of his G10 work but never the aluminum. The G10 looked good as well.
 
Them are some nice looking scales. Not sure id want them on a knife i was using but would love them on one i was "collecting"

I love me some wood personally. Micarta too.... I prefer the looks of wood but the function of micarta.

I think the BK4 and BK16 looks the best out of the becker lineup with the kabar micarta. They go together like peanut butter and chocolate!!

I need me some large becker micarta for my 4. And i need me another BK16 WITH the micarta... Then i need to strip both the 4 and the 16 and put my makers mark on them so im not tempted to ever sell them when i see a good deal on something else....

Out of tea... Out of pepsi..... Got milk, OJ, a few bottles of water and a 6 pack of Black and Tans left.... Wonder what ill be drinking tonight. :D

Hmm, taking that conversation a little bit deeper. I've seen "tactical" shaving razors, "tactical" spatulas, "tactical" wrenches. You know, in case you need to shave, flip a burger, or work on your piece of shit car during a international crisis/war. Even deeper yet, it amazes me how many knife makers cash into it. So many knife makers make tactical knives and they have zero tactical experience. Its a joke. Its just a fad that people are trying to attach themselves to to be part of the now........ no thanks. Id rather be true to myself and be around tomorrow when nobody gives a shit about tactical. Because its just a name. Tactical is a mindset.

Yeah, I didn't say why my day was not well, I think I maybe said five words to her at the most. Things are bad enough as it is without mucking up some poor checker's day who thinks she's being nice.

14 Hex Hawks down. 6 to go. Sending them to HT end of the week. Then they get blasted, then i etch, stonewash, put on the final edges and then they get sheathed. Ill be glad when i get them to HT and can finish my other knife and start a new knife. These little hawks have became a job LOL.

Worldwood, the Micarta on the 4 is a dream. If I could only have one Becker to put micarta on, it would be the 4. You'll like it. :D

Thermocouple is shot, sounds like. Although if the pilot flame looks weak or is guttering, you may just need to blow out the pilot port with compressed air.
