Rollin', Rollin', Rollin', Keep Them Doggies Rolling...: Ken Erickson Cattle Knife

Everything about that knife is just about perfect but the thing that strikes me most is the use of the small clipblade. That is just so useful, tasteful and unusual.

And some christmus thinking.
About being good or bad.
I will point out for you that you spend a lot of time here in the forums and does a great cotribution to us all here. Doing Good things has a conection to being good and discussing this way it makes you a good gay.....Anyway in my book you deserve to be lucky.....:D

Bosse

Thanks for the great sentiments, Bosse. Truly appreciated. (Just don't tell my wife. I've been able to keep her fooled up until now. ;))

And thanks to everyone else for the good wishes. It means a great deal to me and I wish all the best to you and yours throughout the holidays and coming year. (And now, back into the closet lest I'm found out. :p)

That is a knife among knives. Although everything is absolutely gorgeous on it that coined liner really sets this thing apart. And since there's just not enough sub-4-inch equal ends around, Ken did the world a service with this one. Enjoy!

Fantastic knife. Perfect design and execution. Congratulations to you both. Ken really nailed the Pen blade--that's the first thing that struck me. It's downright, dare I say?, sexy.

You and Bosse both hit on that. I'm happy that you did because that was a big part of my plan for this knife.

I originally fell in love with the small clip as a secondary blade on the Case 80 pattern whittler. (Which as some of you may remember, Ken made in ivory and bone for myself and Mike Robuck. I have to thank Charlie (Waynorth) for first turning me on to that most excellent pattern.)

With the clip, sheepfoot and spear master blade, imho this knife pretty much has the bases covered for functional and aesthetically pleasing blade profiles.

Just incredible. I like everything about it. Congratulations Elliott. Another knock your socks off job Ken.

This is one fantastic pocketknife! I'd give it a AAA grade, for design, materials, and especially workmanship. I'd like to watch Ken jigging that bone by hand.

Thanks, Phil. I'd like to have it in hand today but it looks like USPS left me standing at the altar...:grumpy:

Oh well, good things come to those who wait. (Patiently or not. :p)

Wait! Belay that!!!

The Post Office called and "Buster" said the package arrived and he'd wait for me even though they were closed! (There is a Santa Claus!)

Well, the knife is now in my happy mitts and I've got to say that it's all that the images convey and more.

Big thanks to Ken Erickson for making this magnificent knife and even moreso for the years of friendship!:thumbup:

Thank you, brother. Right back at you. Stay warm and have a toast in front of the fire!

Ken/Elliott

That sure is something!!

I particularly like the scales. In fact, there is nothing not to like about all aspects of this knife. Its got a tremendous old school look to it.

Absolutely fabulous job.

I may have to add a variation of this to my Ken wish list.

All the best.

Rick

Elliot, I'm glad to hear you you were on the good list. See there is a Santa Claus!

Theres nothing else I can say that hasn't already been said about the knife but I bet you feel about 3" off of the ground with it in your pocket

Rick, if it should come to pass I can assure you that you won't be disappointed. (But you knew that.) ;)

Elliott,

Don't keep us waiting! How is the knife, is it as good as it looks in the pictures?

I bet it's even better...

Hmmm, I thought I commented over here...

But to add a little more...with each day I grow even fonder of this knife. Though I am by no means unbiased, I really feel exceptionally fortunate to have a knife of this character and quality. It compares favorably with the very best knives that it has been my privilege to experience. It doesn't hurt that it comes from a dear friend.:cool:

I knew it! That is one heck of a Christmas present, and for you to get it on Christmas eve you must have felt very lucky. Bet it did a great job opening the presents.
