Rollin', Rollin', Rollin', Keep Them Doggies Rolling...: Ken Erickson Cattle Knife

It sure looks like Ken captured the look and feel of all that is good of a vintage cattle knife, but with hand made craftsmanship. Elliott...you are lucky to have such a wonderful knife. Congratz!

Thanks, Kerry. Coming from someone who knows what it takes to envision and craft such a knife, that is high praise indeed.:cool:

You're welcome. In terms of quantity and quality, these kinds of knives will be scarce because of the degree of difficulty and time involved in putting together a knife like this. My hat's off to Ken for the meticulous attention to detail that went into it. Whew...NICE!

I have come back to this thread more than once to look at the pictures. The more I look the moore I like it. If I had a knife like that I would most probobly not use it, its to nice and one of a kind, but just looking and dreaming a little, I can see myself in the highlands just at the border between Sweden and Norway spreading butter on bread in the last sun before midnight, after a good evening streamfishing, with a knife like that.

Ken creates wonderful looking bone. His red jigged bone makes me think of beef jerky or candy bars but this one makes me think of melted caramel. Mmmm, delicious knife!

Now how can I not use it after an image like that? (Besides, Ken will be sore at me if I don't. ;))

Thanks again to all who shared their kind impressions.
