RoseCraft Knives

The Gunstock doesn't seemed over buffed, but then no shield or end-cap , the blade is glaze and very well sharpened. Couple of thick boxes containing fragile items from overseas got butchered by the D2 with ease and I must say I find most carbon knives wilting at such tasks so I usually use a fixed blade or D2 or M390 for such stuff.

Here's a shot of the hafting, very well done and excellent backspring finish and tang/spring match up.

I am very glad that those Stag Gunstocks came out to nicely. I didn't get one myself (not really a Stag guy usually!) but they are definitely a nice statement piece, I think.

Beautiful symmetry to those covers, Will. They even have the little flare at the tail that I so much appreciate on a barehead pattern.
Many thanks Jeff  That's an interesting point, they do flare out and the Stag is very nicely done at the same thickness, whoever did the hafting knew their craft and had an eye for it. The only other flared Barehead I have is on a GEC 25 Drop-Point Stag .

How strong is the pull on the clip blade? The nail nick placement seems like it could be difficult to open if the spring is strong.
It looks really far back to me as well, but it’s perfect. I’d say the pull is a solid 6 or 7. This things built like a tank.

I’ve been really tempted to grab one of these. Grabbed this one instead and it was probably the worst edge I’ve gotten from a RC new so far, but the overall quality and fit is still way exceptional for the price:

I pretty much always put a new edge on knives like this when they come in anyway so the edge issues didn’t really bother me much, for what that is worth

2 old patterns with new covers in the pipeline. Zambezi and cane creek jack.

Was hoping for a Nolichucky in rosewood, oh well.

Anyone else see a pattern of new pattern release, existing pattern with new covers, new release, existing pattern with new covers....?

From what I’ve heard poking around, it seems like the philosophy for them is to have a set number of new pattern releases paired with releasing the most popular patterns back out in new covers to keep interest high on all of it while they fill out their catalog.

Definitely is working for me, because they just keep releasing interesting knives that can’t be beat for the price!
