Thank You Sir!!
- apologies to repeat my post from a few weeks ago, does anyone know when these are going to drop (Hatchie & Snake River) .....? Looking forward to 'em very much indeed.Thank you both John and Alanjmh33 @joeradza
I find this all very interesting when you take a step back and look at the context of Rosecraft together with Jack Wolf and Rough Rider.
It's like a niche and a following is beginning to develop more with Rosecraft.
I have a few of both JW and RR, but the enthusiasm seems to trickle more through Rosecraft when viewed through the eyes of this forum and my much smaller forum in UK.
The price of some of the latest JW slipjoint folders, admittedly at least twice that of Rosecraft, is reflected in the more robust quality, fit n finsh..........yet it looks like the gap is closing slightly.
Rosecraft also appear to have mastered quality control in their natural materials for handles - a sad lacking with JW. And those of RR, upon closer inspection, are very cleverly CNC'd bone.
Ultimately, it matters not - aren't we lucky to have so many choices - none of them are 'wrong', they are all, right.
If there's one thing would possibly be nice to introduce on a few more, is a lanyard hole..........even with high end custom folders, there's many an enthusiast who likes to add his own touch to make it 'my folder'..!
For example...
What a cracker this is going to be too...

The Lanny's clip also looks great. I have wanted a Lanny's clip for some time.
Did They Ever produce some Knives in the US of A???It's a pry bar.
For now they are made in China (I think), but the company is based out of Tennessee and are looking to move production to the US.
The designer is from SMKW, I believe. I think that it looks pretty interesting and will likely end up buying one to try out.
Not yet, but I ordered one tonight!
I am going to say not yet?!?Did They Ever produce some Knives in the US of A???
