There are several variations of that punch in existence, Neal. The 2016 BF "DROVER" knife has one, although most have had the "tri-grind" on the back rounded because it snagged on the other blade. A couple of my HJs have them from past years.
Here is the Tony Bose prototype, along with Kerry's version. The Cattle knife version of course must be shorter than the prototype. That Proto is a fantastic punch - cuts beautiful holes!!
Both punches are lightly hollow-ground.

@knowtracks-Dave! Gah! What a week, wife’s back went out, then I erased all my browser history, and I’ve spent the last couple days trying to get back on!:rolleyes::D. That Seventh Son is a beaut! I really want to collect HJs, but it seems I keep getting Cattlemen:rolleyes:(and who’s fault is that, he says to the mirror;)). Beautiful examples of both showing up. Charlie, I just can’t get over the pics of these two! Imagine if I were a leather carver. r8shell r8shell -touch of the heartstrings on that first photo-one of the last mods BigBiscuit did, turning his Spear to a Clip. I would LOVE to see a Whittler with a punch on the 35 frame! Should I start bugging Randy Bell?:p Everyone: beautiful stuff!
Thanks, Neal

The picture I think you're referring to is just of a Churchill lying on top of the 2016 BF Drover with the punch blade extended. :) Did BigBiscuit do a mod like that on a spear-bladed cattle knife? I'll bet it was great!

He did modify his Spear Ebony 35 into a Clip. Only several weeks before his passing. I don’t recall who wound up with it, one of our “regular suspects “ though, so we know it’s in good hands; I ran across it on Facebook,in a group, told Bob he needed to post it on BF, and only then realized who it was:rolleyes::D. What a joy.
Thanks, Neal

Thanks for the suggestion, leghog.:cool: The old brochure page I posted always puzzled me because the illustration looks like my knife with spear/spey/punch blade combo, but the text description of neither K-320 (clip/spey/punch) nor K-321 (spear/spey/pen) matched the illustration. I always assumed the "clip" written in the red box under the knife illustration was a typo that was supposed to read "spear", but it's certainly possible that the illustration is the "typo". Since your model suggestion, I've done a little googling and found one source that lists the K-3611 as having spear/spey/punch like mine (and also confirms that K-320 had clip/spey/punch, indicating that the "ad copy" has the wrong illustration). I haven't located a picture of a Kingston K-3611 yet, but the night is young! ;)

ETA: OK, I found a K-3611 page in the same Kingston brochure whose K-320 page I posted before:
http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/kingston/pages/k1947-16.htm

The illustration there has the same basic blade configuration as my knife, but it has the steel "demo knife" covers.:confused:
