Round up those Cattle Knives!!

I think this is my only cattle knife. R4683 3 1/4" jr. cattle with clip, spey, and punch.... pic with blades open didn't come out for some reason?

I sure would like to see the blades on this one. Beautiful covers.

I don’t see them often, so I figured I should get this one from Tom while I had the chance. Thanks TK!
Thanks, Neal

Oh yeah! waynorth waynorth : I showed Tom Krein a picture of that Kerry Hampton punch, and he was as impressed as I was. Are there any HJs or other production knives that have that style of punch?
Thanks, Neal

There are several variations of that punch in existence, Neal. The 2016 BF "DROVER" knife has one, although most have had the "tri-grind" on the back rounded because it snagged on the other blade. A couple of my HJs have them from past years.
Here is the Tony Bose prototype, along with Kerry's version. The Cattle knife version of course must be shorter than the prototype. That Proto is a fantastic punch - cuts beautiful holes!!
Both punches are lightly hollow-ground.

The old Schrade Cut Co. still has great walk and talk. I love the old worn down scales on it. I will include you in a ceremony Charlie :).
I needed a little purifying and a lady I know has it growing wild on her ranch and offered to braid me a few bunches. She often does this for our group. :)
