My payment through PP was made to Pakistan, I bought a knife. It was and is an awful waste of materials,it was not shaving sharp out of the box, it did not pass a rope cutting test, it has nice file work, it was mailed out of Boise, Id. It makes a good display piece, that's it, I would not use it every day as I would need to sharpen more then I could cut. I am a customer and I am not happy with the product, how are you going to fix this R@R. Martin

i sent you a pm with my address. send me the knife and i'll have it rc tested and post the results here. if the knife is made from good steel, the rc test will tell. so far any knife i have rc tested that has been made in pakistan has been in the low 30's and lucky to be 35rc. i can put an edge on anything and none of these knives took an edge.

We should all chip in and get one anonymously so he doesn't send out a ringer. I'm in for $10. :D

woodysone has one. i sent him my info. lets test that one since it is already here in the states. i'll rc test it and if he wants to, i know someone that can test the steel to see what it is made from. the thing is it will trash the blade but it will let everybody know if the knives are made from good steel or tin cans. who knows, maybe there is already a knife on the way to someone that is going to be tested to find out the truth.

the knife i was sent to test was from tnz damascus off the bay. anybody thinking of buying from them should do an about face.

No, we don't believe that you are. I fully agree with mr ackers. The constant negative threads can not be good for reputation when people do a search. Also as far as questioning how you know what backwoods uses for steel, it's trusted because it has been proven. His steel and Damascus comes from a known source, it has been tested by TRUSTED and EXPERIENCED knife users and collectors, and I have never heard anything less than glowing praise for his work and fit and finish. We also know that he makes them because he has showed us multiple times in video, just like so many other makers here have. If you have a computer or phone as you obviously do, proving a few things is simple. Take a video of you doing something with a knife, grinding, forging, whatever. If you are in the shop all day it can't be that hard. A simple two minutes of "high I am ....from RR cutlery and this is me grinding a blade". He'll even a time stamped picture of something known in Idaho such as a town sign or knows business, would at least show that you are there.

If it was me I would have been scrambling to do all of these things months ago. Typically if something is shrouded in mystery it's for a reason. You need to realize this place is mostly filled with knife owners concerned with quality over price. Many people out there may think a sharpened pry bar cuts awesome and looks great, if they have never seen better. Now sow them a Nick Wheeler or other, and all of a sudden the cheaper option isn't so sweet.

If the steel testing is allowed by Woodsyone I would be willing to chip in to compensate him for his loss. I had considered buying one myself for testing as I have a friend who is a metallurgist at a lare steel manufacturing company who is also a knifemaker, and I'm sure would have been more than happy to run some tests.

If anyone wants to test one of these knives for the type of steel, my brother works at a foundry and has access to a steel spectrometer. It will burn the knife and likely wreck the heat treat in the area it was tested. That is if Richard can't get access to such a machine.

I Did What I Had To Do And The Man Who Started This Thread Got His Knife In 6 Days I Told Him That U Will Get It In 4 To 5 Days And Today Is 6th Day He Got His Knife I Sent Him Alot Of Emails But He Is Not Answering Me Now . I Am Just Get Worry About That Kind Of People .

shane, grayzer86, email me your number and i'll give you a call too.

Sir I Am Not Going To Do Something Like This Bcz There Were 7 Others Who Bought My Knives Here And Sent Me Emails About My Quality But Never Came Here To Give Me A Feedback As I Asked Them Alot Of Times So I Never Trust Anyone . What About If U Get A Knife Then Test Out And Still Don't Share What U Get ?

The Thing Is Where The Hell Is That Person Who Started This Thread The Main Thing Is He Said He Didn't Get His Knife Yet And Today He Got It And Not Saying Here That He Got His Knife . I Will Answer Ur Questions But Ask Him Where The Hell He GONE ?

Maybe he doesn't have the free time to spend arguing on the internet all day long, unlike some people who claim to make hundreds of knives a month.

The OP hasn't been here since last night. But why do you say you are a knifemaker in Idaho when on your profile it clearly says Waziribad. A quick google search says Waziribad is in Pakistan and the photos on your website resemble a mud hut in a third world country.

I knew some people were gonna be sorry as soon as I saw this guys name in orange. People who aren't even into knives know that knives made in Pakistan are pure JUNK and these are no different. You get what you pay for people.

I paid $107 to test one of his blades out, it is going to Richard tomorrow for a rc test and possibly to find out what kind of steel it really is. It would not shave hair when received, it cut 5 pieces of 5/8 manila before it would not cut any more, so now the real test happens. Thanks for playing R@R.

This is a joke right? How did it break and how did you fix it, exactly?
