Rule #9 XXL World Tour 2016

Trust me. It will be photographed and shared.

This knife was just spotted for sale on eBay by one of our members! I contacted Mack and Brad.

I just opened a case with the sheriff's office. Hopefully we can get this guy. I hope I can get things done before it sells.

Brad should really contact his local police. He paid for the replacement so it really is his knife. Ebay doesn't look like they will help much. The Chicago post office may need to be contacted as well.

I just talked to the Marietta GA pd. They basically said that the best course of action is to buy it back and try to contact the seller about it's history and see where that goes. I'm shaking I'm so mad. I wonder how much it will sell for.

I just contacted the seller. I gave him a link to this thread and a brief overview. I hope he will do the right thing.

I just talked to him. The packaging got messed up at the post office and the post office sold it at auction. What a mess.

is he willing to pull the auction sell it to you for a reasonable price?

He did. He's a stand up guy.

As soon as it gets here I will send it to Brad. He paid for the replacement.

Now that we know that the post office will auction lost items, how do we find out when and where these auctions happen?

It looks like the USPS stuff goes through Atlanta (makes sense, the seller being in GA)

This lot appears to have a Mora, a Stider, and a Case knife along with magazines, scopes, bullets, shells and some RCBS gear.

This pic appears to have a couple knife blanks. Probably on their way to HT.

Very interesting. Thank you, sir.

This #9 XXL is definitely living up to its name. The most commented on JK Passaround. Likely, the most traveled. And, by far the one with the most challenged youth including multiple conversations with authorities. Please post a few pics of it with its younger, less experienced brother.

Glad the original #9 XXL is heading back into the loving embrace of it's rightful owner.

There is probably a lesson here for all of us; we should start including shipping details (recipient name and address, as well as sender contact info) inside all of the packages we ship.
