Rule #9 XXL World Tour 2016

Awww - I thought about it - but it was just a little hunk o med rare steak with some buckwheat.....so we did not take pictures....

We have several more to cook though so......

I thought about using the RN9X as a steak knife - but decided against it - I will consider it for the next steak!

Hey heef - your pictures will be perfect - and the story better! I wonder what kind of patina Louisiana Hot Sauce leaves behind?? I love that stuff, BTW - and Tabasco as well.

I do know Louisiana Hot Sauce will give a nice quick patina with no problem.
Ive been racking my brain trying to figure out how to review this awesome knife and I think I have something figured out.
Although it wont be as tasty as your review, Ill still put the Rule #9 XXL to great use. Cant Wait! :D

I am sure the LHS will patina the steel with that vinegar!

I am just dumping shots out here as I live with the knife this week and then I will prepare and post a review to share on a few different forums - FYI -

That looks really good. Does my knife make your plate look small or does your plate make my knife look big?

Your knife makes my plate look small - it's a nice sized fighter!

I hate to be the one to ask, BUT are you eating that beautiful steak with ketchup?

Great pictures of a fantastic looking knife by the way.

Negative - that is Heinz 57 - I usually go plain but wanted some spice. ;^)

Thanks 'Mudge -

I love the gloves - I looked around a while and chose those. The web site shows how to measure your hand - I ordered large where I usually buy an XL glove. They were tight when I got them and I was a little worried, but now they have stretched and are fitting....wait for it.....like a glove!

They are beautifully made, smell like great leather - just a little luxury that is nice to have. I got the fleece lined version, great for those cold drives to work here in the frigid cornfields.

They are a little pricy - $63 delivered, but they are made from North America elkskin and made in Oregon.

So far so good - I have only had them for a couple weeks.

I am impressed - UPS got the Gold Cup here from Dallas over night - that was pretty good!

I'll be playing with this tonight, getting familiar!

I've always wanted one. Nice one, Andy.

Well Mack, I think you may be disappointed in this one.

John usually does outstanding work with his leather, but on this one for some reason, although the stitching is neat and tidy, and the knife fits snugly in the sheath, and the leather is very sturdy....

It is made to be carried tip up on your belt.

Ok - maybe it could be used on the left side of your belt for tip down carry. ;^)

Another piece of leather that is beautiful in it's simplicity and usefulness. All hand made in the USA!

That is one fantastic picture of some incredible workmanship.
Wow. It's even made for correct handed humans.

Thanks, Bob.

Bob does excellent work as well - I should have known that, as this has the darker coloring of Bob's work -
