Ok guys. I got off work a little early yesterday so I had a chance to see what this knife is all about.
Upon opening the box with my trusty E01 Hunter I discovered some mighty fine discounts from a grocery store up in IL. After digging around for a bit I also found a nifty little keychain I assume mqqn made for me. Thanks mqqn! The keychain will go on my Jeep keys immediately. Then after a little more digging I finally found the treasure the box was hiding. My first impression of the Rule #9 XXL is a good one. The blade is long yet the knife is very light and nimble in hand. Like Mr. K said, "It just felt 'right'."
After holding the knife for awhile in different grips I placed the knife on my tailgate and set up some comparison shots along side my Mud Turtle. I really liked how the tip tapered down.
After the comparison photo I got to business putting the knife to work. My driveway has become a little crowded with Palmettos and I thought this was a perfect opportunity to do a little tidying up. The Palmettos in my woods rule everything, they take over every inch of space that they are allowed, but not with the Rule #9 XXL present! This knife made short work of these pesky plants. Most only needing one fatal sweep of the sharp blade!
I cut 26 Palmettos in all. I widened my driveway a bit and now I don't have to worry about them brushing against my truck as I leave to and from the house. The knife felt very good in hand and my hand never once got fatigued or worn out from handling such a large knife.
One thing that kept throwing me off though, was the gosh darn sheath! Every time I would get fumbled and think I was doing something wrong and then have to remember that's it made for lefties! Its all good. I absolutely enjoyed getting to use your knife protourist. It has been a pleasure to use.
The one thing that resonates with me is how long and light the knife is. Thankyou!
Now for pics

After Work (Cant really tell that I cut 26 plants!)
I heard they pay money for these things in other parts of the country. That true?
Notice how easily the knife cut through the Palmettos
