I have tried to contact them threw the people who revived the money, no help...

I have tried a charge back to my CC no good over 60 days.........
I guess I am just like the rest who revived a very poorly made knife
and now we can do nothing about it...

.I do not trust RYP any more, So I will NOT just send this back in hopes of receiving my money back,--------- If I do not

You may all say just send back the knife----- well he has had my money for over-100 days and I trusted him to deliver a quality ...HE did not..............

I will Just go to ever Knife site on the web with the Bad pictures and the poorly made knife and I will tell everyone who made it and who helped............

So Just see if I am KIDDING RYP ------------

Maybe calm down a bit, and try explaining with some clarity what exactly you're talking about? What, exactly, is the problem with the knife? He posted your information? You're not making a lot of sense, to me anyways.

Right. But, what is your specific complaint against the knife you bought? On what grounds do you want to chargeback your credit card? Because the guy's an ass? I don't think that's going to cut it.
 
Lee, the primary complaint about the knives is that the tip of the blade sticks up above the handle.

I know that some people's knives weren't as bad as others. This guy just seems like he's mad because of the forum drama, and not because of the knife itself. He still hasn't really said what's wrong with his knife, just that it's a "paper weight". I'm not trying to sass you, Esav, I'm just trying to figure out if he's trolling the GB&U with a RYP-bashing thread or if he doesn't like the DPx/Lionsteel knife.

ETA: My solution, since this is a GB&U thread, would be to put it up on the exchange for trade. I bet you'll get several bites on it. And, that way you won't have to deal with sending it back to the maker.

ETA pt. 2: Better yet, buy a Gold membership and sell it on the exchange! Support the site, and get your money back at the same time! Win-win.
 
Besides the issue that people were having with the tip sticking out, was there anything else wrong with it?
 
WOW, and it continues in another thread. I'd vote give them a chance to refund your money. Normally I'd say send it back and let them get it right, but after the other thread, I vote for money back. I myself will not do business with any person or company that handles themselves in that manner. As for UDt, I think there are better ways to go about getting the problem corrected than poorly written internet posts
 
No, there was nothing else wrong with the knives. This is a first run knife, like all new products there are chances of things to go wrong. It's part of the process. RYP announced him and Lion are fixing the knives free of charge. UDT SEAL is just mad cause everyone was calling him out on his screen name and he had to finally come clean that he was never a SEAL. I wanted it kept it quiet so people would still maybe assume he was one. haha
 
In my opinion,the guy may be an ass,but he seemed dedicated in his posts to make this right.

FedX there & back to you,on him.

I've yet to see(hear about) him reneg on this.

This subforum is about the DEAL & that alone.Please stick to the facts & try to keep the emotion out of it.

Isnt that enough? These knives had ZERO quality control done imho. Had RYP posted my personal info in that manner i would be visiting him in civil court. He is a shady person and his "history" allowed him to try and make a knife to turn a buck. This thing could have been an amazing knife. I am also glad that LS backed out on making the new ESEE folder. And fwiw i was not born in Scotland. My family is originally from Glasgow just for the record :D

I may be mistaken, but RYP is currently ordering solid clips to address the "weakened clip" problem as well.

So that's three current known issues, not counting atleast one stripped pivot resulting from RYP's personal inspection process
