The only reason I bought this Knife in the first place was the good name of EESE was involved.....................

You should be able to sell that and break even on the deal.
If you did want to keep it,
I would contact Lionsteel to fix it for you without going through RYP.
Lionsteel is a stand up operation.

No, there was nothing else wrong with the knives. This is a first run knife, like all new products there are chances of things to go wrong. It's part of the process. RYP announced him and Lion are fixing the knives free of charge. UDT SEAL is just mad cause everyone was calling him out on his screen name and he had to finally come clean that he was never a SEAL. I wanted it kept it quiet so people would still maybe assume he was one. haha

You make no scene... I doubt you even own one of thees knives..........
Only you and that other keyboard thug decided I was a seal no one else..........

+1

Mine sold on the exchange in hours. RYP offered to refund instead, Lionsteel says they'll fix them all.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be pissed but I think you have options.

I agree that RYP's actions were uncalled for, but this is about a knife, he offered to fix it or give you your money back. Take him up on it. You may not like him as a person but no one is forcing you to keep the knife.

I don't trust him.......
If he sends the money I will send the knife ..
I trusted him now he should do the same............

You want him to send the $260 back before you'll send him back the knife? I doubt he'll go for that. Again, you're probably better off just selling it here on the exchange.

If he dose not I will take this to ever forum on the net he will never sell another knife...........
If it was not for ESSE he would have not sold these......................

I'd gladly give you your $260 back for it and take it off your hands. Hate to see you going through all this turmoil.

Here is my problem with the whole situation:

I was fine paying months ago without even seeing what the final LE model would look like.

I was fine with ESEE backing out

I was fine with the initial delay in shipping over Christmas.

I was fine with the delay due to all the goodies not being ready

I got a tracking number and was fine with it not updating

I was fine with the tip "problem" it was stated I would get my knife and replacement pins to fix the problem.

What I was not fine with was being told I would be updated through the entire LE process and then having to get my updates from BF.

I was not fine with finding out my knife might be one going back to Italy, and not receiving notice of this. I emailed DPX and finally found out mine was going back.

I was not fine with some people getting their knives and others not. I was early to order and early to pay and still have no idea how it was determined whose knife shipped out when (I have asked)

I am not fine knowing some people will get their production runs before I get my LE.

I sent an email explaining this and asking for a refund, 72+ hours later I have not heard back.

And I have never been part of Jethrotull.

The dpx/esee split was anounced back in December. Why didn't you cancel your order back then? And why the hell am I wasting my time posting here? :D

There are a lot of upset people...JohnnyT I assume you are not one of them.....
ESSE loaned there VERY GOOD name to this and then after it goes bad wants to distant themselves ......

I understand that we all want to distant ourselves from DPX...I want my money Back....

Important notice regarding ESEE and DPx Gear
We have received several calls at our office from individuals wishing to discuss the issues that happened over the weekend between DPx Gear and Bladeforums. Please do not call us about these issues. Our office manager cannot answer these questions since we have instructed her to not discuss any of these issues since it is not our business. If you have any questions regarding the HEST Folder, Robert Pelton or the DPx Forum on BFs then they should be addressed to DPx Gear, not ESEE. Furthermore, please do not bring these issues to the ESEE forum since ESEE and DPx are no longer associated. We explained this a couple of months ago with the press release about our separation. With that said, any HEST fixed blade made by RAT Cutlery (now ESEE) is still 100 percent guaranteed under the ESEE warranty.

Much thanks for your understanding.

Jeff

Name me one company that will issue refund without hte product being returned first.

Follow process. Send the knife back signature required. Contact customer service asking when the credit will be issued. If it does not happen, then follow your CC chargeback process.

Regardless, regardless of everything, process has to be followed.

In red is my quote I have no idea why UDT-SEAL has it posted.

I want it to be clear I have never received my LE and have not heard back about a refund.

Nothing wrong with being upset and I understand why you and others are. The way you are handling it though, will get you nowhere.

This knife has become one of my favorites in a very short time
The quality is top notch, and I have no problems with it other that I can't put it off my hands. Yes, it has the slightly exposed tip, but that will be fixed, and even so it doesn't interfere with the knife function, use and carry.
I liked the fixed HEST, and I like the folder version even more for EDC, being more compact and easy to carry around ; this folder has great features, it has a removable glass breaker, a bottle opener, wire stripper, D2 steel, its a titanium framelock with a blocking of the lockbar feature, , even a bit driver, and the blade, ...almost 5mm thick, just as the original HEST
It has great warranty, and comes with nice accessories, like the titanium bead, the cool skull tool, a very well made lanyard, and all this comes in a waterproof aluminum SAS survival tin.
And this is the first version, which was produced in a relatively short time by LionSteel, who by the way did a great job, while trying to keep the proportions similar to the original fixed HEST.

I am sure I would like it too......

If it was in my hands and not headed back to Italy!!!!!!

Maybe calm down a bit, and try explaining with some clarity what exactly you're talking about? What, exactly, is the problem with the knife? He posted your information? You're not making a lot of sense, to me anyways.

A 50 cent pin is .08" too thick, therefore the knife is a giant POS.
