I just noticed the rosewood Folding Kalinga Pro in S30V is now gone from the Buck website. Has this been discontinued? If so, I'm glad I got mine when I did.

If so, I wish I'd gotten several instead of one.

I think I only have one.

Huh, you're right wolf. They were just on there the other day cause I was debating on that, the giraffe 532 or ordering a new csar. The rosie Kalinga has spent longer time on my must have list than anything but I figgered I got plenty of time and got the 532 buildout. Now I'm scared although there is still the bay. May be a website error as well. They make great knives but not the best website.(not complaining though-too much:p)

I just printed out the new 2010 Price List and there are no Kalinga's at all on it. Hmmm.

I googled the folding kalinga pro and even if they have been discontinued, there are still many places online, and no doubt brick and mortar stores too that have them and will likely have them for awhile.

Time to stock up folks. :)

True.

When I look at the workmanship, materials, build quality, style, design and overall package......I have to call this a $200+ knife.

I doubt Buck ever made much money on this one.

I really anticipated the Kalinga Pro S30V models (408 & 419). When they finally arrived that fall, I certainly was elated - and found a liner-lock I liked, too. Get 'em - you'll love 'em!

I have both the folder and fixed blade too. Just a beast of a knife...both of 'em. I found a folder in like new condition that I put on the belt quite often and have a spare put away. Just an awsome folder.

I also agree with 80gr (..;)..) that Buck probably never made much money on these Kalinga Pro's. Maybe we'll see some Build-outs next year!!

They are a pretty awesome handful of a knife. I have a couple of each myself.

Do you think they have been discontinued since they don't show up in the price list for 2010?

Are you talking just about the Rosey Pros or all the Kalingas?

The website still shows the rubber and camo folders and the camo and rosie fixed. Now I got another decision. I had set my mind on either rosie folder or the new csar and am about $15 short for either. I decided on the new Csar but now if the Kalinga folder is disco'd maybe its the choice before prices go up. I dunno-I hate decisions but at least I get a nice new knife either way.

Get the Rosewood folding Kalinga Pro. The CSAR is newly on the market and will be around for a while. When the folding kalingas are gone from the websites, they will be gone, except for occasional ebay offers, but then the prices will go up. The folding kalinga pro is a very nice knife.

For some reason I only bought one of these. That's odd because on a real good knife I always buy two. Go figure. Anyhow, I really should get a second (or third?).

I found some that are at $92.95.

Is that about the best I can do on this?

Thanks. I'm having some trouble with that website loading, so I haven't verified that it's available for that price, but if it is I'm gonna have me another.

Surprisingly.......I found another site selling them for $88 and the fixed-blade model for $98.

How low can we go?

I'd like to hear something official from Buck before deciding what and how many to buy.

Any chance Joe or Chuck can comment on the issue?
