Gotta have one that I can use without worry. A backup for that, and one that will never be used to show a great production knife that was discontinued.

I got one yesterday-knocked it from 7 to 6-no surprise at that price they are going fast.
 
Well, he has by far the best price on the Bay.

And I don't think many people know that they're discontinued or they'd have gone faster.
 
Then again......maybe we stirred up so much excitement they'll start making them again.

Yeah wolf, I took a little a** whoopin from the wife since I just ordered a $100 Csar a few days ago but i figgered payin for a whoopin now is better than paying premium price for a Kalinga later:thumbup:
No surprise they went fast at that price disco'd or not

I'm sure your wife will understand that the price will only go up on NIB copies now that it is discontinued. Pay little now, or more later.

I am in damage control here too looking for another spare one. It makes one wonder why would Buck ever decide to discontinue such a beautiful functional folder. There are few production folders out there that compare to the Kalinga.
 
So lucky to have the wife that I have. :)

Mailman today brought another of the few 419s I've been grabbing in these last few days. Brass was just a little dark, so I gave it a quick flitz and then mentioned to her that these were the knives I'd told her I was buying for around a hundred bucks each.

She looked at it and said, "Oh.......it's SO pretty. And it opens and closes so nice."

No complaint about the cost. Just happy smiles.

God is good.

Hoping the mailman has a few more in store for me. Whatever I get, I have a feeling I'm going to kick myself for not buying more.

My new one came today, so it's into the vault with it and my other new one, that Im saving for posterity. I still have one to carry if the mood strikes me.

They are currently bidding on one that's at $69.99 NIB. Don't know anything about the seller. 3 days left and I wonder how high it will go. I will pass, I have enough.

In fact this was my first order from e-bay and with the seller Plumberdv recommended, there were no problems at all in the transaction. I'll consider him a good dealer for future purchases. Thanks, Plumberdv for the referral.
