S30V Folding Kalinga Pro

$88. and $98 are both good prices for great knives. I'd go on that alone, and buy them if that is what I wanted.

Yes, all the signs truly seem to be pointing to "discontinued."

It may well be safe to assume that is true.

I agree, bunch on the net for mid 90's so $88 would seem a good price at this time. :)

Well, since I only have one, I'm going to go ahead and order another one.

Kinda glad this came up since I should have at least two of those anyway!!!

:)

Well......tell you my experiences here......

I have managed to order one Kalinga Pro Folder brass/wood/S30V from New Graham.

Last one they had at $102.50. Seem to be very nice people.

Other sources seem to have dried up.

Cheaper prices all turned out to be out of stock after they checked and one says he can get them from his supplier......which I doubt. Waiting for confirmation on that. These guys, I'm sure, operate as drop-shippers and don't know that they can't get them anymore.

If anybody else is checking, do share your experiences here.

I've only been checking the folder......don't know about the fixed blade availability.

Some available on Fleabay right now at $102.99 and free postage. I do not think I'm allowed to post link of current items for sale (please correct me if I'm wrong in this) but the item # is: Item number: 320471152121

Thanks, topol.

I don't think anybody will mind the members sharing info on this because the knife is discontinued and most dealers don't have them anyway, but maybe I'm wrong.

Mods can advise on this so we know for sure. If so you can just edit out that item number.

I found an Ebay dealer that has them for $91.29 delivered, Priority Mail. Just listed today. He has eight of them and he's a very good dealer. I've bought numerous knives from him.

Thanks, PD. Hadn't seen that one. He's the best deal on the Bay.

I'm still waiting on an internet dealer and I'll find out tomorrow if that dealer can produce some product at his first claimed price.

If not, I'll probably be looking at this one you found.

If you are still 'on the fence', here is, top down, the 408 fixed, 419 folding K-P in S30V, and a 110 for comparison. I've carried the 419 sheathed and unsheathed in my pocket - not that much more than a 110 in size or heft (7.7 vs 7.2 oz).

An S30V folder that size - or the fb - for around a hundred bucks delivered - is a deal!

OFF TOPIC ALERT!{/b]On a separate note - central Alabama schools are closed Thursday - some Friday - as we expect 1-2 inches of snow. It got above freezing today - first time in s few days - lows 14-16 F - NE of Birmingham. These guys aren't accustomed to this.

Dang, you guys have me so fired up about them, if I didn't already have two I'd go buy another one! They are beauties.

Well, I see that several sellers are bumping the price way up on these, so I went ahead and bought another one just in case they are discontinued. Never hurts to have backups.

The folding Kalinga Pro BU419s in S30V brass and rosewood are definitely discontinued.

I'm not sure if all Kalingas are discontinued, but it's beginning to look that way.

I think so too, but the one's with S30V and the rosewood handles are the only ones I'm interested in. I may order anothe fixed blade too, just to be on the safe side.

Oh yeah Buddy, that thing is slick, especially for a 17 year old bike. 11,500 miles on it and runs like a top. The Harley dealer was amazed at the condition it's in and how clean it is.
I'm taking it in Saturday for a full service just to start my own service record on it. I'm pretty sure the owner had done all his own service on it and I want to start out with with a professional service.

My seller has them in stock (the 419RWS) and my new one is being shipped today. $91.29 delivered by Priority Mail.

That's a fantastic price.

Got verification from another internet dealer that he's got some coming for me at about the same price with the combined shipping.

I see what you mean about prices going up. Opportunity does not stand at the door for long. Glad to get in on the low end of this.

Thanks to Wolfdog for starting this thread.

:)
