S60V Blur Images

Sorry messed up on the model #'s, they are a 1660ODBLK not CKT. We've made a few thousand of each over the years. Not sure what year they started.

Thank you Thomas, i was wonderin' why those model numbers didn't work:). I just did a search for OD green leek, and found some. Thanks again for the (extremely) fast response!!

Guess i should do more research before i ask more questions from now on, cause i see there are other models with that color handle too:o

glsj1011, that Leek actually exists in both a plain and combo edge. 1660ODCKT & 1660ODCKTST.

I cannot find any info on the above Leeks...Google comes up empty...but did find the 1660OLBLK and 1660OKBLKST...

Looking for clarification, pleeease. ;)

Thanks,

Ray :)

sorry, but i am still kinda new here.... where would one go to find this OD green anodized blur?

Welcome!

The OD S60V blur was due to ship some time this or next week according to Thomas.

So you should be able to find them at dealers a few weeks after that. Probably a good idea to shoot an email about one to your favorite dealer since there will be so few of them.

Sorry, it's the 1660OLBLK. I need another Rockstar.

Wish I'd seen all of this sooner Thomas. I have one right here on my desk and could've clarified for you hours ago!!!:D

That's what you get for putting so many damn letters in that model's product number!!!;)

A video would be cool!

Thanks,

Ray :)

Cool, but it looks like a mighty fine way to wind up with a few stitches in yourself...be careful!

ahhh, i've done that before. really easy to do. just couldnt picture what you were saying before lol.

boy that lock is over far............

it was heavily broken in and i adjusted the pivot to the point where all things are sweet, which only made me wanna use it more. hehe

you're worried about my safety? thats so sweet. LOL

honestly it is a more natural way to open the knives i work with on a daily basis, i regularly open my zdp cyclone this way. and besides the two times i really really cut myself it was a skip across my skin and you cant stitch skin thats cut that way.

btw, brad, annie over at NGK is all ready for us and invited us to lunch before we shop (she didn't know that was already on my to do list)

no problem ray,
it actually is really easy, you don't need to do anything (on the blur at least) except push slightly up on the angled thumb stud. this engages the speedsafe in the most efficient manner possible. it really is a beautifully engineered knife. i can't wait for this new version. hats off to you tim, thomas and ken.

and anyone else i forgot to mention over there in tualatin.

That's a sweet looking Blur Tom and they will sell out fast. I have 7 Blurs and have always been super satisfied with them. As far as the inserts go, I think the current ones (ie rubber) are a HUGE improvement over the sandpaper, not the other way around. If you've carried Blurs before with that sandpaper you could soon find your pockets or, in my case, flightsuits getting chewed up from abrasion. The Trac Inserts are much better and provide the same traction without ripping the skin or clothes.
Incidentally I contacted Kershaw about swapping out my inserts for the rubber ones and they quickly sent me some new inserts which I installed. Outstanding customer service!
