S60V Blur Images

BTW, it looks like the one in this picture, you know, the one in my pocket, will be the only non 2nd S60V Blur that made it.

Any chance of doing the olive handle with another blade steel? I know it's weird, buy I really like that color! :D

Ray :)

I believe the sale falls on the dates of Nov 30th - Dec. 1st this year (it's the weekend after Thanksgiving).

Well since the gang proved how good they are at road trips with this latest NGK's fiasco, and there has been talk of a 2nd Sale road trip here to Oregon , I don't expect you out of state wannabe's to see any of these regardless.

hey now thomas, one of us made the trip successfully. sad to hear about the s60v blur....so wanted one....but i got something red and spidery to tide me over.

not sure i would last the 2804 miles (according to google) that it would take to make it to the sale....don't suppose we could work something out (wink).

both, hehe i already switched my standing order with NGK from the s60v blur, ram and composite jyd to the groove, ram and jyd :)

Color of course is quite subjective, but I think this Blur looks really sweet.

There is some talk about offering this colored Blur with a 14C28N stonewashed blade as an alternative, but no decisions as of today. It would be the first production piece in 14C28N.

Will keep you posted.

Can I make an executive decision even though I don't work for Kershaw? Good.

Do it. I like that OD handle, and I need another Kershaw.

how is s60v different from s30v.....if that was already discussed i apoligize....i ahven't been reading the whole thread....ryan

Disappointed beyond words. :(

I really liked that color. The 14C28N would be a nice fall back.

How about an Aluminum Speed Bump with handles that color? Or even better, aluminum handles that color, with the Black DLC blade from the Spec Bump?

You have an order for a 6-pack right here if you do the Green with 14C28N.

Reach in the right hand drawer and come back to us with an answer in 4 hrs. That should be long enough. :D

S60V has more Carbon (2.15% vs. 1.45%), more Chromium (17% vs. 14%), more Vanadium (5.5% vs. 4%), and less Molybdenum (2% vs. 0.4%) than S30V. It is generally considered to have greater wear resistance than S30V, but S30V is tougher. S30V has essentially supplanted it in the cutlery steel market.

Good alternative...I'd like one...:D

Thanks, Thomas!

We NEED this Olive Drab handle with the Track tek, but with a Black S30V blade! (and possibly a stud lock)
I don't care whether it would be a recurve blade or a tanto serrated version--but oh man I would be one of the first ones to buy it if a blur like this came out.

(please Thomas? can you submit this suggestion?)
:D
