Sorry, kinda new to this en-masse of steels--is S60V better than S30V?

Not necessarily. S60V (former CPM-440V) has better abrasion resistance - this means it's harder to sharpen than S30V.

Ran into an issue with the S60V Blur project, and it has been scrapped. Sorry bout that, but as you all can imagine, things happen in manufacturing.

I believe the sale falls on the dates of Nov 30th - Dec. 1st this year (it's the weekend after Thanksgiving).

Well since the gang proved how good they are at road trips with this latest NGK's fiasco, and there has been talk of a 2nd Sale road trip here to Oregon , I don't expect you out of state wannabe's to see any of these regardless.
