Sandy

Here's a pic I pulled from msnbc's storm tracker (No, msnbc didn't use the Busse pointer even though I think they should :))Not looking good for me

hah, isn't this how it would go? My lady and I flew out to NYC for the weekend to drink some beers with friends and enjoy a few days of Fall. Just discovered that our flight home tomorrow afternoon has been cancelled and we're hanging in Brooklyn until at least Wed. Doh!

Funny thing about being on vacation is that you can't take all your emergency supplies with you. No flashlights or NMFBM. What if I need to chop my way into a pizza shop for an emergency slice

I was just looking over the Sat. images and this thing is a MONSTER...Good Luck to everyone, keep your heads down and be safe.

Best of luck to all of you. Hope you all make it through this unharmed, and hopefully without too much property damage.

I wish everyone around me here in NYC were more like you guys here  people are pretty cocky about this thing and instead focusing on how last year's hurricane wasn't as bad as the weather reports predicted. Some were worrying about if they should actually prepare or not. Always be prepared and you don't have to worry about stuff like this...

Stay safe.

Prayers outbound for you all! Glad to see so many on here prepped out. Keep us posted as you can, but more importantly, keep safe.

Probably gonna miss your birthday, Mike :( ...but I didn't forget! ;) Don't look at the Birthday thread til the 31st, LOL. :D:D

Hope everyone and all their family, friends & loved ones including the 4 legged buddies makes it through safe & sound, healthy & whole...and without property damage! :) I'll be checking in as long as I can, but if (or when) I'm gone...

See ya on the other side of Sandy!

:)

Thanks, Rob & gang!

I'm not looking forward to it, but I'm as ready as I'm gonna be...so bring it. Anyone got any D-cell batteries? LOL. ;) Apparently, a lot of folks have bought D-cell Mag lights since Irene. :D

Hang tight, folks! See ya on the other side. :)

:D

I'm checking to see that my game cam batteries are still there every hour, so don't get any ideas. :D

Hope you & yours make it through with no trouble. Stay safe!

Thank you my Brutha! Sorry, I already peeked. I hope you all stay out of harm's way. I've been through several myself, and it isn't on my list of suggested things to do on purpose.

All is well at the VA/NC border, at least until the trees start knocking the power lines down. I just drove to work uneventfully. I brought my doublestuff and a pocketful of dull knives in case I get stuck here.

Looks like im in the way of the storm. Thank god I dont work today cuz all hospital personell working have to stay overnight.
