Sardinian thankfulness - and the winner is...

Congratulations on your first 1000 Fausto, and may you stick around for many thousands more. That is certainly a beautiful knife, and I would be honored to have an opportunity to carry it.

Came for the knife, stayed for the cheese. ;)

Thank you for your contribution to the community, here's to another 1000.

Mmmm..........sheep cheese!

Rick,
I'm sorry but you are wrong...that's not sheep cheese  it's cow cheese, and it's called "pear cheese" here, due to its shape :) but don't worry, I will post pics of some sheep cheese eventually, so that you can sleep better at night after you finally see some... :D
This will run until tomorrow night...then I will pick the winner with a die roll (traditional way of generating a random number) and then pack everything together.
Again, thank you and good luck!

Thank you very much for this great resolza give away.

If it is not too late, I am in.

I remember your story about the Hunter cutting food for strangers with his traditional rezolza (excuse my spelling, if it is incorrect).

The story moved me because my family gave me knives to be used for food prep on the road when I was very young. I would sit in the back of the car or at a roadside table slicing Sausage, Cheese and Fruit with a large blade, often a large Schrade Folder Knife for what always felt like hundreds of family.

I cannot remember when I was first given a knife and told to slice or peel food for twenty.

You have brought back wonderful memories.

I will concede that Jacknife and others now have me carrying these tiny little knives, but I always have a larger knife in one pocket.

Here we are.
Casualty has its rules, and we know nothing about them...still, I rolled the dice one minute ago, and casualty made its choice.
The lucky (hope he considers himself so) winner of this giveaway is BF member LKJW (Dan).
Congratulations! The knife is yours, along with something to try the knife with
PM me with your details. I should be able to ship the package by the end of this week.
Thanks to everyone for joining this giveaway. I really enjoyed it. As I enjoy being part of this subforum.

Congratulations Dan.

I am sure that you will enjoy this charming and useful knife.

The sausage and cheese typical to Sardinia will be a wonderful bonus.

Wonderful giveaway, Fausto! Congrats to LKJW.

I'd love to see a picture of your 66(?)-sided dice. ;)

This was a lot of fun. Thanks!

The entries were less than 66 (actually less than 50)...and as a former roleplaying gamer, it's not hard to generate any random number once you have the appropriate dice (a d5 for the "tens" digit, and a d10 for the "unit" digit):

Great picture! I've never been into RPG, but I've always loved dice. When playing with dice, there's always hope! :)

Thanks again.

Great contest, Fausto! Congrats Dan! Let us know how that sausage and cheese tastes! We already know the knife is a winner.

Thanks Fausto. This has been a fun contest to follow along with all the posts.

Congratulations Dan, your getting some nice cheese and a knife to cut it with! Can't get any better than that.

Looking forward to another 1000 posts from you Fausto.
