Saudi customs result in a bum Scarab

Would be a good time to pour a nice tall cold one, put the feet up and start in on 'War & Peace' IMO!

As long as it don't have any alcohol, I'm with you on that! :D

I wouldn't send him anything... until (1) I would have gotten back the supposedly broken/problematic scarab.... (2) then I would wait for him to deliver the Commander... (3) last I will send him the NIB scarab. I would play it safe than sorry. my 2cents.

Best wishes,

Edalb

Roger That Charlie Mike! Whatever your choice of a tall cold one is always fine with me. I just figure this thread is'nt going away any time soon from the horror stories about this chap in Saudi. Would be interesting to find an actual US GI stationed over that way to look him up and inquire....

I'll give it a month until I make up my mind on that. I'll be waiting.

If you traded with Master Seargent (MSGT) in Riyahd you've been screwed. He's been bounced from here more times than I can count under different names.

I'll bet he had pics for you to see and gave a post box as his address.

He tried to trade me a commander and 15 for my ECA knife a week ago and you're supposed to have the same knives in the mail now ?

I've been "in my acceptance" about this whole affair since Friday. I really have myself to blame for this, since I was in a hurry to get rid of this knife. I keep what I carry, and though the Scarab is very nice, it is also quite illegal in my state. On the bright side, it is one less thing I could possibly get hemmed up for.

Can you post exactly who and where you sent the Microtech to in case it's different info?

Thanks and it is too bad this POS now has a nice Scarab that cost you alot and him nothing..................

Except for the name on the first line, the information is an exact match for a previous appearance of the scammer.

Yup, this is the same guy who contacted me two weeks ago by email about a Spyderco Superhawk and then expressed interest in a Paramilitary I also had available. Said he had a commander and a manix for trade.

I told him to ship first and he vanished.

Charlie Mike, sorry about the knife. That guy is scum.

He said he was in the business of converting rubbish into methane. That makes sense.

Sorry to hear about this CM, too bad. I'm trying to think up devious ways to get back at him. Can't really come up with much right now, I'll sleep on it.
