Didn't mean to clutter this thread up but seeing this thief had posted in here made me chuckle.

Yes I believe they do. I once worked in a store and two men walked in whom I presume to be Arabic they looked at a huge high security deadbolt that was for sale and both cracked up laughing.

My friend used to solve that by driving over the border for a few cold ones. Not sure if it was Qatar or Kuwait. His wife and daughter soon lost their humour with the lady’s wear. His salary was not shy.

A person who has lost his hand is a total outcast. Simply because, he is a thief but also they eat right handed and attend to the other end with their left hand. The thief has to deal with both ends with one hand and is considered unclean.

Apparently a man in Saudi missing his right hand is a permanent, very effective reminder to all not to steal.
 
Glad to see this as a sticky. I didn't know there were serial scammers here, but suspected as much. Good to have this resource. Thanks to those that shared their loss to prevent others from suffering the same fate.

I literally felt sick to my stomach reading this thread. Definitely notify the Saudi police and Saudi post office and they WILL take care of him. They should have him pick up a marked package with one of those aliases and then hang him. I work with some Saudis and believe me, they fear the police.

Send a pint bottle of cheap vodka over if you want to get him in trouble--he'd catch a serious beating from the police over that. lol

I thought working with the Saudis would make me more understanding and culturally aware, but it's had the opposite effect on me. I hate them a little more every day, especially when they mock Christianity and other religions. They're raised to hate on Christians and Jews, and I hate the way they treat their women. The only kind of work Saudi women can do is teach, and I've never even seen my client's wife. If I visit his home, she hides upstairs until I leave. She's a great cook and I've had many a great meal there though. They're very hospitable people, but many of them think you're a piece of crap if you're not Muslim.

I believe this site is going to prove truly useful to me. I wondered about certain people who sell on eBay and whatnot; this seems to be a great spot to learn how to weed out the scammers from the honest peeps. There are a couple SUPER custom makers on eBay, by the way; one of them I can personally attest to is Michael Hoover of Washington. He rescales knives with stone -- and not the resin crumb type of "stone-wannabe - and his works is SUPER! He sells under reddrummed on eBay (or is it redrummd? Some combo of "m's" and "d's" at any rate).

Anyway, I'm here to learn, and you guys sound like you know your stuff.
 
I'm working in Saudi as a military contractor, so this thread is of interest to me, Funnily enough, the only time I've been scammed in a knife buy/trade, it was by someone in the US...
 
The guy who has been scamming from saudi uses the same po box # & city etc..!
He just changes his name,he got me for a benchmade & a sharpener a while back ,offering the same mini manix & claiming to be a US military contractor.
I wonder if he believes in Karma!.............

To be fair, out here, because of the way the Saudi postal system works, a whole company will have one PO Box.
Hundreds of people will have the same one. It is possible that they are different people.

To be fair then, no one here can afford to trust anyone at that company address.
