Savson Swords & Knives reliable?

I ordered a BM 525 from Savson on the 17th, and still nothing.

I can't even find where Savson's is located, they have no address on their website. I bought from there becasue several people said they had good service, but so far, my emails are unreplied.

How long did it take for the knife to reach you from Savsons? I'm in Florida.

I've bought quite a few knives from them and have always had good service.

They are located in Southwestern Ohio, based on the area code listed on their site. Have you tried calling?
 
There phones were down last month also, and I have also sent several emails with no replies. I figured they closed up shop, if not they just as well.
 
The phones are down (for months) and emails are not returned.

I couldn't contact them to cancel an order that has been pending and charged for over a month and had to do a charge back on the credit card.

Sad. They used to be one of my favorites.

Yes I'm sorry to hear this, they were one of my favorites too.
 
I ordered a knife from them a bit over 2 months ago, and got it within about a week. I checked their site today and couldn't find their address either. Strange. Anyway, here's the address that WAS on the website, and to which I successfully sent my money order to them:

I checked my credit card, and it hasn't been charged.
I think I'll cancel my order, and shop elsewhere.
 
They have now removed their phone number. I have had 2 knives on order for over a week. Nothing so far. No reply to emails.

I've bought from him for years. Talked to him several times. I wonder what's going on. Anyone have any new news?

I sent an email yesterday morning asking if they were still accepting orders, but it wasn't answered.
 
The phone number is still at the bottom of the home page, but the message indicating the phones are down has been removed as of yesterday.

Someone is updating the site - at least the home page.
 
I've ordered a couple of knives from them over the past 6 months or so and had prompt delivery on all of them.
 
For those that are interested:
I found out that the owner (Randy Manley) has been out for the last 2 weeks recovering from surgery. A lot of mistakes were made while he was away. It will take a little while to get things rolling again. He's a good man and will correct any problems or complaints.

It seems that someone has been updating the website, if only they would have posted a notice.
 
Anyone still having problems getting orders filled by Savson? I received one of my knives but still waiting for one I ordered weeks ago.

I got one email from him explaining about his surgery but no responses from several others I've sent. The webpage is being updated so I don't know what's happening. Phone lines still down.

I ordered three knives from them on June 2, 2007.

I received two of them on June 11 , 2007. No word on the the third knife.

I've sent three e-mails and tried calling, but the phones have been disconnected.

I would just like to know if I'm being sent my third knife. The packing slip only said the two knives. Don't know if they made a mistake or I'm getting screwed.
