Bolt it to the floor...And if they take your gun safe?
I don’t know you or your friend, but that hurt me to read.My friend once lost a rockstead higo. They picked the knife right from his pocket.
I rentBolt it to the floor...
Bolt it to the floor anyway, if you move 5 years from now you will have forgotten about that security deposit anywaysI rent.
When you move: unbolt it, and fill in the holes with a mix of putty and sawdust...Bolt it to the floor anyway, if you move 5 years from now you will have forgotten about that security deposit anyways![]()
He probably screwed on a Timascus clip to the draw for a hands-free look. Are you really walk around with sock drawer handy ???
Sharp fella
Nothing more special than something you made with your own two hands
.....
What would you do if it does get stolen?
You rig it so if it moves, a piano falls on their head. And if they take your gun safe?
That is what I am thinking. I cannot make it yet but I am working on reverse engineering the design and saving it electronically so that if it does happen I can easily have it replicated. Maybe one day when I get my own place I will get some equipment and start making my own.If my "Grail" got stolen...I'd make a new one.
My ultimate Grail, times three.
None of them are kept locked up, I like to enjoy them often (top two anyways). One is sitting on my desk right next to me as I type this, the other sits on the table next to my tv watching chair. What's the point of acquiring your Grail if you can't just reach out and pick it up whenever you feel like it.

I think most people in this thread are assuming the theft will occur while they are there... read above(or in a previous page) what happened to my parents. What if you go on vacation for 2 weeks to a place where you cannot/won't take your knife?![]()

but seriously?
even with all the security measures,
theft is highly unpredictable.
i guess that explains
why generations of folks
have chosen to sleep
with their.precious valuables
tucked under the pillow
can't rightly say how many
were willing or even ready
to put up a fight when need be.
but i guess somebody
would be exceedingly foolish
to try robbing a knifenut!
Same, except acme anvil. You rig it so if it moves, a piano falls on their head.
If someone manages to unbolt and cart the 500lb safe out of my basement then they have earned it.And if they take your gun safe?
What is your grail you are so worried about? That is what I am thinking. That is the wisest view. Only knowledge should be treasured. This is one reason why I don’t have a “ grail “ knife or anything like it. They are only material items that are made to be used.
I look at it this way, why buy or acquire something I’m afraid to use or loose? If it sits in a vault or safe never used or admired out in the open, what good is that? So some of the knives I have are really nice but they aren’t really anything that special that I’m fearful of loosing.
I have a few sentimental items and knives that I wouldn’t want to loose but it’s not the end of the world if that happens. Kinda similar to the old saying, don’t gamble anything you don’t want to loose.
Luckily a relatively simple one that is very easily reproducible. If you browse through my postings you will very quickly find what it is.If someone manages to unbolt and cart the 500lb safe out of my basement then they have earned it.
