Schatt & Morgan Keystone Series #69 - Barlow ?

The one big improvement that Bill has succeeded with is using the shield welded on as the pin cap. You can have words stamped on the shield without messing them up!!

Or use two pins on the outside of the words like "Case" or "Pocket Eze"

That damn camera will not take pictures worth a hoot! Trying to follow Mike's lead here

I'm officially commandeering this thread!

Hey guys, remember this knife??

It's time for the final chapter of this story!

After a long journey, the knife made its way down south and I finally had a chance to put her back together(minus the protruding shield pin), and now it's time to find her a new home!

I'll randomly choose a post in this thread starting from the first post and including any entries from here until New Years Eve! Good luck, everyone!!

Cool stuff, Evan! Nice job on the rebuild (as if we expected anything less)! :D

I'm in, I've been eyeing those for a while. S & M are my first 2 initials and each of my sons' first initials.

Well, this was a LOT of fun to read and extremely educational. Thanks to all who contributed, whether knowledge or conjecture.

Looking great Evan. Awesome work, I was just wondering about this knife the other day, very cool to see it back in good health.

Looks good!! I've been thinking about picking one up myself, hopefully I wont have this problem!

The patient has survived! Nice going Dr. Esnyx! It's looking better than ever!!
Now I can think about that nice Winterbottom bone instead of the dangling participle!
Count me out please, but let me congratulate you on a fine job and a generous effort.
Worth two coins!!!

So was it the shield pin that was intruding inside of the knife?

I ask because I just returned a Queen 48 whittler for the exact same reason. It was a brand new knife with walnut handles. My understanding is that the walnut is the replacement for the curly zebra wood (now discontinued) though that has not been officially announced by Queen yet.

Great job putting it back together Evan. I've been looking at these SM barlows since it's almost impossible to find a long pull spear charlow at an appropriate price.
