I share these fears of the future my friend. If he offers this thing with a double cut I will buy another for sure.Jerry:
I’ve encountered a series of rather disturbing realizations.
First was the problematic issue of the DT12 offered at a scandalously low price, which made just about any rationalization for buying one irresistible. Predictably, I had no real choice in the matter and succumbed.
Next came my first-hand experience with the DT12, which of course combines fast-handling features like a straight handle, distally tapered fore-blade and full-flat grind, together with 12” of .27” thick, 2” wide stock. Unexpectedly (for me at least) the melding of these design features has resulted in a knife big and fast enough to upset the apple cart of all prior Bussekin.
Now projecting forward, I can see that when these knives hit the website in a more permanent offering, I will be compelled to buy more, based on my boundless satisfaction with the first one.
This is where the snowball leaves the rails and begins careening crazily down the slippery slope.
If, heaven forbid, the knife is then offered in INFI, in the now-typical array of coated, stonewashed and comp finishes, I will be forced to score multiple additional copies.
Finally, and truly the ultimate horror of horrors, should a special hand-applied satin INFI version then come to the market, I fear my current personal investment plan will be cast into an irrevocable spiral of doom.
Please tell me this gathering storm of financial devastation is not a real-world eventuality.
Yours in stanching rampant nuclear proliferation,
Will York
