Which means, like the old timers down south of here, it's time for a bit of honoring the gods of the blue agave!
The knife was my grandfathers I have no idea how old it is. He was born in 1878. The knife is surely from the 1950's

I'll add something to this fine collection of users.
Two from opposite ends of the knife spectrum.

(And if I win, I want the box of junk. Mostly because I dig other peoples junk. (Wait, that may have come out wrongly)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

If we're venturing outside the realm of FF, my old Golden Spike is about 41 years old and looks it :)

Brian those smoked oysters though! I've got a jar of some a lady friend chef. She smoked and canned them herself from Cortes islands. I'm waiting for New Year's Eve. Best I ever had was from an oyster farm in hoods canal Washington state.

The tinned ones are one of my favorite trail snacks. Never had any fresh ones.

Here's an a knife that's been through a lot. One of the first knives I ever owned.

I got it from my grandfather when he
passed away over 20 years ago. How long he owned it before that I have no idea. Since then it's had a rough life even survived a house fire.

Bowie by Rick Marchand and rustic wrapped Minimuk by Fiddleback Forge on some fatwood. The Minimuk has not seen much use to qualify for this thread but the bowie is coming along.

Anyone heard of a broom corn knife? Maybe it's just a mid-western thing. J - your thread inspired me to pull this blade out to share....because I sure don't have another knife as beat up and scratched up as this one. Merry Christmas Eve!

Before one can know a broom corn knife, one must first know a broom corn.... Haha you have to fill me in. That looks like Andy's first knife.
