Sebenza 31 Converts?

Only thing missing is “crank it down and gtg.”

That’s what I love about the 21

"Now yer speakin' my language, Dude. All we're missing is "hell-bent for leather."

I have noticed that my small (birthday 9/21) occasionally, after a break down and cleaning needs to be worked a bit to "settle in" for lack of a better term. The pivot screw is definitely as tight as I can get it without using a cheater bar, and it's very smooth. I've not seen any indication of pinched washers, and it displays none of the symptoms of such.

One of life's little mysteries that keep things interesting.

Same here, I hand tighten snug and after a day or two it's close to drop shut.

I never take 'em down. (And I dare not share any other harrowing information...)
Serious question…you never take it down and clean? I guess you don’t use them in dirty jobs and have clean pockets?

I never take down my slip joints (obviously), I guess just clean the CRK that way because I can. Suddenly it feels unnecessary.

I take mine down after the first weeks carry and then not again until needed. My jobs not as dirty as some so it varies but it’s more likely in the winter when opening 10-20 bags of ice melt after a nice snow.

I understand if u have issues that makes it hard to do, but if not I highly recommend u try.

For me it's a significant part of the joy of owning a CRK. They can also be pretty dirty factory fresh, so I always clean them out when they get here.

There's a lot of things that people do around these parts that give them joy, and I don't fault them for it.

I've been collecting and using knives since about 1958. I figure I've got a clue by now about what works for me. LOL.

(No offense intended, at all, just in case I was typing brusquely while also speaking on the phone.)

I believe most people who get to own a CRK enjoy it(get to work on it). I just think u are missing out on something there as a knife enthusiast.

But off course, u know best what works for u.

My apologies 353 353 Upon re-reading my post, it seems I didn't quite avoid coming across as a dick...and that was not my intent. Apparently I cannot talk on the phone (to Coleman, no less) and post at the same time.

Hope you'll give me the benefit of the doubt.

I'll probably get around to playing around with the innards in the not distant future.
