Sebenza Clone

stjames,

I really don't know what to say...I usually agree with with most things that you post.

But the responses you've made on this thread seem very unusual.

Still, you are entitled to your opinions.

Good luck,
Allen.

Allen, thanks for the kind words. Maybe I'm a little irked because I basically complimented a knife and was then picked apart because I see too much of another knife in it. Just where do I get off  Maybe I used too much sarcasm and humor, or perhaps the Sebenza owners are not the ones that protest too much in this case.

Blue thumbstud of this kind, especially on framelock, is almost a trademark of Chris Reeve to me! Just like round hole for Spyderco. I don't think there is any good karma behind this knife...

Well, we can talk a lot but Alias has been created to attract people with Sebenza-like look! And that's what I really don't like about it.

Alias II came today. Very nice knife IMO. Will EDC it for a while and see it how it strikes me.

Got a First Production Run knife, though that won't mean much to me ... it's going to get carried and used.

Just FYI, I see the pricing (just checked NGK) on the Alias I and Alias II now seems fairly competitive with the BM 635 and Buck 172. I happen to prefer the looks/feel/proportions of this knife ... so s'all good as far as I'm concerned.

Re comparisons with CRK Sebenza, really couldn't say. Never owned or handled a Sebbie, but for around $170, I think this knife will work out just fine for me. If i like it a lot, I may get one of the larger ones, too. We'll see.

Thanks USAFSP for the write-ups on this knife!
