Sebenza Spydie Hole Mod

I really like the look. Never had much of a problem opening my Sebenzas but this could certainly be an improvement. Who does these mods?

This knife is proof that they don’t require an ugly blade shape. So are knives like the Southard. All they need is a cutout to give access to the hole.
Honestly that’s the biggest reason I don’t own as many spidies as I would, if the blades fit n the handles more like that I’d own a lot more

Cobalt / Carbide , basically any drill bit that has a higher hardness than the steel you're drilling through.
I've had good luck with carbide masonry bits for drilling hardened S90V/20CV blades. Cobalt doesn't even scratch that stuff, though.

Yeah alot of them have a needless hump that makes the knife very tall when closed.
Maybe not needed closed but it’s nice in use. My hand constantly indexes off it while changing grips. The delica would not be a good knife without it IMO.

That’s the first sebenza I’ve liked. I might own one if they started making them like that.

How would you absorb the thumb stud hole into it? You couldn't just drill it out, you would have to get below it to start drilling. I would love to have that hole in my sebenza.
