I think it's easier to flick one with the thumbstud configuration.But.... wait....
I thought sebenzas weren't for flicking?
Warranty? Not on the blade, anymore.
Resale value killed? For many buyers, yes... but I'd bet there are some that would pay extra.
Sebenzas are definitely for flicking!But.... wait....

No worries mate.I still like factory CRK as they are and unless CRK does the mod or anything else on the knife I will not be in it.Cheers.rexromic
First off, im a huge CRK fan...as you probably already know. I respect and have found a lot if your posts very helpful. I actually own a Ti-lock you previously owned. Lol.
I have to disagree and say that i don't disapprove of CRK mods. They must be well done. There are so many CRK's out there now, and personalizing one is in my humble opinion, ok. After all, i work hard for my money, bought a sebenza, and moded it to my preferences.hope we can still be friends.
20+ CRK's, 2 moded, and all the rest original BNIB!!
No disrespect intended!!![]()
I am getting off topic, but I did a little research
Supposedly 2 reasons for them not to re-blast some scotch brite mods.
1. it can create rounded edges that don't fit their machinery well
2. it is out of spec and they can't create the crisp edge it originally had. Some buyer down the line may think it came out of the factory like that.
Now back to the original subject of Spydie Holes
You are the business owner- How do you address this issue?
Pretty close to my understanding over the years.
It's not that the parts won't fit in machinery as much as it is that it's someone else's work-
Think about it this way- Let's say they blast every scale for every customer that sends their scotch-brited knife in..Some look horrible with rounded over corners etc.
Would you want to put your name on that? (hypothetically speaking and not directed towards anyone)
I certainly wouldn't want to..
Now, lets say that everyone and their dog sends in their knives knowing that some will be turned down because they were scotch brited.
Joe gets his back and his buddy Jimmy Bob says "Imma send mine in cuz urs looks new!"
Well, sad day for Jimmy Bob because his was scotch brited so badly, it should have been criminal..so the simply said "I'm sorry" and returned the knife.
These are examples only and not meant to dig on anyone at all..but put yourself in their shoes. After going through these scenarios for years..
What would you do? Someone might think it's prudent to just say "Mods like scotch brited scales are tough to remain consistent with our message, so let's just not reblast them anymore"

This is my thought and hypothetical reasoning..
Going back to the original topic of the Spydie hole in the knife..I seen it on FB some time ago..Not too long. I actually thought it looked really good.
I'm not necessarily a purist all the time.
Not a purist, but would you put a ziptie on the sebenzahole?![]()
Purist! You didn't ask me, but hell no. I wouldn't put a ziptie on any knife for any reason.![]()
Purist!
That sebenza with the spydie hole looks greatThat PM2 with the sebenza handle looks ugly
Of course this is just IMO.
