Most of what I have learned on this forum has nothing to do with knives. Sure, people are extremely helpful with ideas and techniques for making knives, but this is so much more than a forum. It is a community. We help each other, care about each other, celebrate and cry with each other. We make friends and always cover each other's back.

It is so great to know that this set of beliefs go all the way to the top; or maybe they were sent down to us from the top.

Thank you for keeping this place the way it has been and always should be. I wouldn't want to have it any other way. I don't think there's anybody that could come along and benefit this community more than you (Spark) and all the members who make these forums so resourceful and just a fun place to be a part of.
 
Thanks for keeping this place basically the same since I joined and thanks for not selling it. It's nice to have a forum or 2 that isn't covered with ads.

I've seen what happens to a forum when it's sold to big companies. One forum that I am on is ad free as well (mostly). The owner played an April fools joke on the forum, and built a threw saying he sold it, and put a crap ton of ads up on it. A few members were lost from it and a good amount more were gonna leave when it came out as a joke

The big companies make these go down fast. So thanks again for by selling.

Ps: as soon as I get out of college and I'm not a broke college student, I'm getting a paid membership
 
When they ask if you're interested in selling, tell them for one million dollars you'll consider it. If they pony up, tell them you've considered and the answer is no.

Kudos SPARK, a to forum well done and principals to be proud of, you and this forum are two of the greatest assets in the knife community. Thank you for your time, effort, dedication and sacrafice. Besides someone has to lead this crew of degenerates.

I can only offer my simple thanks after so many have been so eloquent. Bladeforums is usually the first thing I check in the morning and the last thing at night...

My grandchildren will see me on the 'puter and ask if I'm looking at knives again.

Great site, greater community and a treasure to be cherished.
