Maybe some folks are just trying to psych out the competition, keep as many others as possible from entering to improve own odds of winning

.
Another company many of us are familiar with had a photo contest for their calendar, folks had to send in a picture of one of that company's knives to enter, winners got a free knife. Was that "unfair" to folks that didn't have a digital camera? I don't think so. I didn't win that contest either. No problem, it was fun to try.
I imagine probably the majority of us don't live right next to an idyllic spot in the woods to create an entry. I live in a pretty large metroplex, but I am determined to find a way to get off my fat a** and try my hand at this. Do I think I have spitting chance of winning? Not really, but it will be a good experience to try. Whether I have to drive 3 or 4 hours to find a place, or sneak into the overgrown bushes near a creek running through town, I want to find a way. I am way out of shape, have a difficult time sleeping even in my own house at night, and may end up having to stay awake all night by a fire fighting mosquitos or being extremely uncomfortable in some other way, but it will be a growing experience.
And this contest was announced at a pretty good time! We are finally getting some cooler weather, at least in Texas. And we have TWO MONTHS to make our entry. My enemy will be my own habit of procrastination
