This individual posted a knife for sale. I replied to the post and asked if he would ship to Canada. He indicated he would but the cost of the item would go back up to $250, not the $227 in the post. He raised the cost of the item, not the shipping costs. I of course would cover extra shipping as I am in Canada.
Sadly that was not the issue....the changing of the price from that posted to an increased price in PM is dishonest and unethical.
Post what you want for the knife.... don’t try to scam more money in a PM. People like him have no place on our forums.
I have all the conversation and it has been sent to the Mods.
 
It’s the point he tried to scam me by changing the price of the item in PM vice what he posted in his listing. I’m just trying to warn other of his tactics.

He left you neg feedback 45 minutes ago. Im pretty sure thats not permissible regardless of the details of the transaction, if a concluded sale did not take place
 
I’m just upset he is being deceitful and trying to scam extra funds not related to actual shipping costs
 
I am actually very happy he made this post. Here is how it went down, since I’ve been slandered on several posts today. I could care less what his guy is saying, but its to future people i may deal with.

I had a fixed blade priced at 250. I reduced the price due to me wanting to sell it. Clearly i indicated US only. I am copying and pasting the thread. Too much to type and i could care less at this point. People will make their own decisions.

His initial message: Interested in the knife. I am a fixed blade guy. Could you give me some dimensions? I just want to confirm it’s size and ask if you will ship to Alberta, Canada

My response: Hi there.. Sure, ill take some dimensions for you. But just a heads up the price will go back to 250 plus shipping for international. I don’t like doing it for several reasons. Let me know before i take dimensions for ya.

His response: I agree with the extra shipping, but not the increase to the price just because I’m outside USA. That has nothing to do with extra costs shipping to Canada. I am interested.


My response: I’m sorry. But it is. I have several personal reasons for it. I understand if you’re not interested anymore. But the price will be 250 out of country.

And it goes on and on with him messaging me throwing insults and then slandered posts all day. It’s ridiculous and I’ve asked MODS SEVERAL TIMES to have him cease the BS

You getting caught trying to be a scammer that’s what is happening. Extra costs for shipping outside the USA is expected.....not for a cheat to try and change the price of the item in PM.

why don’t you post the complete conversation ? Scared to show what you started ?
If your too scared I can post it if you like.
I just don’t want people to experience the same type of scam.

And you are correct I should not have left feedback, this is more appropriate with the help of the Mods.

Thats what the moderators are for. This isn’t ebay where you can leave retaliatory feedback for a deal that never actually happened. Next to using paypal F&F this is THE most rudimentary rule of the exchange.

The price he quoted was shipped cost CONUS. He said he'd bring the price back up to $250 to ship international. You said you were ok with paying extra for international. No deal was completed. What is the problem?
 
He changed the price and wanted funds for shipping on top of it. Please read the posts, it had nothing to do with extra shipping costs. He changed it to $250 plus shipping. Last I checked sellers were not allowed to changed the cost of an item , Extra shipping charges, of course, but he can’t arbitrarily changed the item price in chat vice what he has it posted for.

Mods will remove the negative feedback from both parties - as no deal happened, any feedback is against BladeForums rules.

A thread in GBU is fair game, but probably isn't going to go the way the OP intended...
 
My price indicated CONUS only. I don’t know what’s so hard to get this through your thick skull. When you indicated international, i made it CRYSTAL CLEAR it would be going back to normal pricing plus shipping. I laid it out for him. Even the other members here see it. NO DEAL OCCURED OR EVEN CLOSE TO IT
 
I don’t feel the need to sit here on a Friday night and defend myself any longer. Ive laid it out. Let the mods handle it. Goodnight everyone except the physcho who posted slandering comments about me in several posts and invited THE KNIFE MAKER INTO OUR CONVERSATION...insane that this occurs here. Ive had nothing but a spectacular experience thus far and have made several friends that would vouch for me. Enough is enough of this. Who knows what else this guy has done to slander me today.
