Selling of GEC SFO's. How to do it fairly?

The system does work. My texts are time stamped one minute apart but most people seem to be within a small window. Not that it matters that much since the system is what everyone will be using in the future correct? Either way as stated before, it's just a knife.

What is the new notification about- early reserve announcing a time in advance? grr

I was in a meeting, couldn't get to the pc quick enough. I was in the car. I was away from my email. I went to the reserves as soon as I got the text and they were all gone. etc. etc.

And now, advance warning --- grr.

Many people said in this thread that the way you were doing it was fair enough and I think that this instance proves it Mike. You can't make everyone happy, it's impossible.

It's great that you turned to the forum for feedback. That shows that you care, however, you ultimately have to run your business and reserves in a way that's easiest for you. If people don't like it or can't adapt to it (or aren't willing), then they will have to just miss out.

Its all good. I meant grr in the nicest way. :D Just when you think you got it figured out... it changes, lol. It just seems too much like the other site that sets a time. Again, all good and fair enough. :thumbup:

Me too, although I have to say it's incredibly frustrating to end up on standby when I had my reserve placed within 15 seconds of opening. I'm really curious how people can type that fast?!

I am also on standby and i even copy and pasted my email in. That was crazy.

I would have had no idea my reserve was cancelled from last nights offering without seeing the new youtube video. I didn't even get an email or text saying there was going to be a re-do.

I missed the jig bone today and now I'm on standby for the ebony. This means it's unlikely I'll get to buy one without going through the secondary market.

I'm obviously very disappointed.

Yep, this time around it was a huge screw-up by CK... with something like a SFO that is so highly sought after more care must be taken with your customers. I bet you this doesn't happen again...

I had trouble getting them in the past. In fact, the peachseed is the first TC I'll have owned not second-hand. I'm lucky that the TC's just aren't that important to me because I can't pay the high secondary market prices they sometimes command. I think that the attitude you are taking is the right one...
 
Everyone messes up sometimes...its kind of what people do. I know I screw up constantly.

They are just knives, if we miss out the world still turns and life keeps going. I like them as much as the next guy but sometimes it sounds like people think they are entitled to the knives.
