Separating maker from knife

1. No, as a law abiding citizen no one is inclined to do anything because a government entity requests it. Departments have budgets that buy vehicles and night vision, they can't buy a 60.00 angle grinder or a band saw?

2. They donated to politicians that support anti gun legislation, do the research before you bump old threads talking nonsense. Makes a lot of logical sense to support politicians who would infringe on our God given right to protect ourselves by disarming us, while they drive around with men armed with machine guns to protect them and lived behind paid security, doesn't it? They aren't Anti gun, lol. They are anti PEASANTS having guns. They sure as hell want guns, so they can make you do whatever the hell they decree.

After they remove the guns they go after knives, just take a look at the UK. Pointed kitchen knives? Locking folders? You'll need a reason to carry an opinel, and if your reason doesn't suffice, off to jail in the paddy wagon and don't resist before they club you over the head.

3. For crying outloud, you have NO idea how long this forums memory is when it comes to lying, shitty makers.

Finally, Benchmade supporting politicians who hate our constitutional rights is old news. Most people don't care anyway and continue to support them. Not sure the point of bumping this thread to start a conversation that was long done.
❤️❤️❤️❤️

Didn’t realize Benchmade was anti 2A? I know they crushed some confiscated/seized guns for the police and some people apparently had feelings about that but is there something else I’m missing?

I can't speak to it myself, but it seems like Benchmade made donations to anti-2A folks (see below).
It's possible we're dealing with one of those "any amount of firearm regulation is anti-2A regulation" situations - people don't tend to cope well when things aren't completely black and white.
Whatever the truth is, it's a bad look considering the types of people who generally buy knives.

I have a friend who once famously (in our circles) said he believes in 2A freedoms up to and including private citizens owning atomic bombs, and anyone who supports less than that is anti-2A.
I think about that from time to time.

The point of the 2a was to recognize our god given, inalienable rights to defend ourselves our familys and our nation up to and including from a tyrannical government. It doesn't give us the ability to own anything. It placed restrictions on the government. Whatever tools the government has the people should also have. I wish nuclear weapons didn't exist and of course people like to use the extremes when they seek to discredit people who are against 2A regulations.

We're off in the weeds and I'd rather not get this closed. If people wish to discuss the 2a further it's best to go to the PA.

I have considered knives from some of OPs list and after doi g a bit of digging on the knife I liked ''NOPED'' the F out after finding out about the listed grievances.

life is too short and the deck too stacked against me for me to help bad guys out.

Count me as one of them, What did Tim Leatherman do?
Supported anti gun politicians amongst other things. If you research you'll find info on this very website from 20 years ago. There are even firearms manufacturers that have been less than 2a friendly. Guess if you make stuff for the government, you can crap on the citizens as you don't rely on the people for your revenue. Many people still vote with their dollars when it comes to several big name companies. Same applies to knives.

His birth name was Todd Leatherface.
Best they could fit into a multi tool is a handsaw.....

Oh I see, The only thing I heard of from leatherman was the lawsuit about having tools labeled as US made when they were only assembled in the US.
