With a tag that says they are currently unavailable. This one is under whelming. And I like 112's a lot.

I think these look great, but there are a lot of birthdays in my family this month and next. Mine is not among them. I probably shouldn't be buying another knife (or 10).

That said, I really like the quantities that Buck is making. The difference between a BOTM drop and the lolly scramble after some other company's drop is like visiting a church where everyone is welcome versus one where you get glares for farting too loudly during prayer. Not a personal experience, you understand. Maybe a little too specific of an analogy.

Anyway, I have some time to think about it.

Counterpoint. I hate that the new "Limited Editions" are now up to 1,000. Feels like the end of my interest in the BOTM. I have every one of the 112 take aparts made, and I don't feel like purchasing this one.

Yep, that totally makes sense. I don't really have much of a collection aside from a handful of 300's and a couple 110's and 112's. I usually spend quite a bit of time mulling whether to get a new knife, so these numbers work for me. But I can see that it could be a complete turn-off for someone else.

Curse you all. I was all set to not buy any more knives for a while after just getting my latest catch off the exchange. I’ve never gotten a BOTM before. I’d also been looking at a 112 kinda semi-seriously, but it’s not quite at the top of my list. I like S30V steel (got a few other knives with it), I like the aluminum/G10 handle, 3” blade is right in the sweet spot, and the price ain’t half bad. Checking all those boxes outweighed the fact that I have absolutely no business buying another knife right now in my moment of impulse. So I up and pulled the trigger. The only thing I’m not sure about is using the lockback - never had one before. But I haven’t seen anybody complain about it, so I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

So …. Thank y’all very very much. 🤣

Where are you guys seeing how many are left? I can’t find that

Add to cart and update the quantity to 1000, and it will tell you...(currently 721)

I am wait and see (659 as I type). I like the 112, but have too many already. Price is decent, but I have spent too much on knives lately, including the BCCI 112 Tiger Eye a couple of weeks ago.

I like the looks of it.

I bought the July 2020 BOTM take apart aluminum frame 112.
Nice knife, but it doesn't even fit in the average 112 leather sheath, as the frame is bigger.
Are the newer aluminum take apart knives a larger frame also, or are they now the same size frame as a standard 112?

I haven't purchased any of the newer take-apart knives, figuring, what's the point of a lighter knife if it's bigger.

Thanks.
