September BOTM - 102 in black palm wood/154CM

Hard pass for me. totally agree with Your Name Goes Here;

"For the price, I'd rather purchase the Pro version - S35VN, Canvas Micarta - $98.00"

I’m a lifetime BCCI member and when I log into the Buck website the Pro version of the 102 shows as $134.99, not $98.00. Am I missing something, or is there maybe something messed up with my account?

Possibly related, I just logged in and all the military discount prices are much closer to retail than they used to be. A bunch are within $5-10 when they used to be $30+ better. Maybe the same for BCCI(?)

(Not complaining, just adding detail for comparison.)

I had the military discount on my account before joining BCCI. I never knew if the BCCI discount was bigger/different than the military discount. Maybe they’re different and maybe my account never got switched over. I need to look into that.

I like this picture. I like the 102. I was hoping for one with a straight clip blade like the January 119 BOTM but that is a reach. Holding out but slipping fast.

Imo priced at $134.99, this knife sells out lunchtime on friday. Do you Agree/ disagree? Does this matter to buck? Should it? Discuss.

Edit:
I had not read Culprit99 Culprit99 above post when I posted this. Coincidence? Irony? Less than 135 seems like a good price, even for post the death of oil.

I am liking that they are releasing models that have not already been BOTM before. Maybe someday the 124. ;);)

if you are a fan of smaller fixed blades, nothing beats the Buck 102. I personally wouldn’t carry a fixed blade any bigger. This is a tough knife. Love the BOTM, but passed because both the D2 and S35V pro models were cheaper and just as good or better steel. Still, great knife!
