From what I've seen in pictures, it looks like Buck usually shows the end grain. It's always looked odd to me, as I'm used to seeing it like this:Doing some looking around. It seems that when I think of palm wood I think of the wood at the end of this block of wood. But, it seems that Buck is cutting these handles to display like the sides of this block of wood. Which I think looks better and should look pretty good in hand ?

A fuller-less 117, and I'd agree. On this knife, though, I'm out. I'd expect them to show midline to best; and those pictures simply don't appeal to me...and I luvs black palm.It's a good knife. Had it been a 117 or 212, I would have grabbed it. But I pass.
