seriously... knife bubble?

Sorry but Benchmade doesn't allow dealers dealers to discount their knives now. They can't sell them for whatever they want and we no longer live in a free country imho.:)

Then why can I go to a well known knife dealer and find this, which I just copied and pasted here? They display the retail price then you use this code getting a discounted price at checkout. Others require you to call, or email for the discount. All they can't do is post the discounted price.

"By Ordering on line we will give you Additional discount off our price on this product. Use this Coupon Code"

Because the policy is new and hasn't kicked in everywhere yet. Some dealers may be selling off inventory prior to leaving the Benchmade business.

I think Benchmade will be taking a huge hit on sales doing this. I know they have nothing I'd pay retail for.

OMG are you serious? Yes obviously these people are collectors, many of which constantly exchange knives in and out of their collection to get new pieces. I have explained why its 100% natural, acceptable, and expected that these people make more money than they bought the knives for sometimes (i.e. when they purchase from the maker after two years wait). It's very rare that a knife increases in value in a short period of time after purchasing second hand...It sounds like some people are just really upset they can't buy a top end, rare knife.

Well then its an ideology difference. I think knives should be used and carried. I find it enjoyable and it's how i justify buying more knives. You dont think so. Thats totally fine. You have your opinion of how one should handle your knives, and i have mine.
