  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Seriously, What do you do with your knives??

use my working class knives in the studio every single day. lots of different styles for different chores.
and of course they get used outta doors too.
this morning it was a little bhk i picked up earlier part of winter.
scrapping the last tiny bits of early growth wood around a knot on the most recent osage selfbow im making.
certainly there are some that get more admired than used. but most get used.
right tool for the right job, as they say.

I am attempting to acquire enough knives that I can sharpen them all once to the level I want, and then when I die, my daughter's grand-child's great-grandchild will be the first of my progeny that will have to re-sharpen one of them to keep using it. :D

My wife asks me this question every time she checks the bank account....I always give the same answer..."dunno, but when I figure it out you'll know"

I've got one or two that I carry on a daily basis that see to most of the tasks of daily life.

I've got a few I use that are purpose built, such as hunting, skinning, fillet, and rescue knives.

The others I have are just because I like sharp, shiny things. I "need" them like I need another hole in my head. I have them just because...... ;)
