Read this all again and realize why everyone is frustrated please...

It can't be that complicated, I will give you the coles notes version:

1) Buy a knife from a Stranger on the Internet using the Family and Friends option via PP

2) When something goes sideways (because you did something incredibly stupid) start a thread, complain, and look for "help"

3) Get a beat down for doing something stupid because:

a)Using F&F payment with people you don't know invites more shady people onto this forum...they can see it works.
b)Perhaps if we make a big enough deal about this, the members here will WAKE UP and stop giving away free money only to cry about it after....good learning lesson for everyone, although I would be the first to admit, people just aren't getting it....

Perhaps "regaining control of this great forum" starts with it's members acting in a responsible manner on the exchange.

I beg to differ Sir! Not reading the rules (which includes a warning about F&F) might contribute more to the bad & ugly than just F&F alone. How in the world do people go through life without knowing the rules or expectations of the places they visit (in person or otherwise). Boggles my mind.
 
I've sold a few expensive knives and at least twice payment was sent F&F with no heads up. Even though myself and the buyers were seasoned forumites, it made me a bit uncomfortable. I don't know why anyone would use F&F for goods. I immediately look away from threads that ask for F&F or a premium for goods. You want $400 for a knife then price it so you get $400.
