Thread Drift about "Net to Me"- I tried to buy a $500 knife and the Seller wanted $500 Net except he wouldn't tell me What that meant in real dollars. I had to assume he meant 2.9% + 30 cents, Do the math and ask if that's what he meant. It was a real put off and even though I said "I'll Take It" I just moved on.
This stuff really ticks me off. Some sellers ask for "NET to me" yet don't even know what the fees are. Some sellers say X price + 3.5%. Others will say $225 + $7.03.
Just round up your prices guys or eat the fees!!!
As far as buying goes, I won't say I don't occasionally use Gift Payment for guys I've dealt with before. However, a few years back there was a guy with over a dozen positive feedback that ended up ripping off numerous members here on the forum before he went MIA (ssblood). I'd sent that payment as a Gift but somehow convinced PayPal to refund me the money. I got lucky though. Goes to show that even members with a good reputation can go sour.
All that being said, this thread seems entirely off-track at this point.
