You're Canadian? It sure is hard being a knife nut up here eh? CBSA confiscating liner/frame/button locks at the border and calling them gravity knives. At least we have some decent retailers that carry Spidie sprints locally.

I'm glad you were able to scoop one. I have a feeling a lot of them were scooped up by people from the states.

Yeah I am Canadian. Luckily most dealers hear only sell knifes they physically already have. So I don’t have to worry about them not making it over the boarder. Also I live on the boarder and get some things sent to a address in the USA and then just bring it across my self

If we could mention non supporting retailers. I don't think they are on the approved list. That's why I was vauge.
I did not know blades Canada wasn’t on the list. And I am new the the group. What Canadian retailers are approved? What does non supporting retailers mean ?

So they'll steal it from behind our backs, but not to our faces. Nice.

I think you've misinterpreted the rules. Non supporting dealers may not mention or promote their businesses. I'm pretty sure you can say you bought a knife on eBay or Blades Canada, or at the store across the street from where you work.

The Big list of BladeForums.com Rules said:
BladeForums.com stays open due to paid subscriptions from various member groups, including Dealers who help sponsor this site. A dealer who does not have a paid subscription is not allowed to advertise in any way, shape, or form. In the past, dealers have used 'shill' accounts to promote themselves & their products; as a result we've limited all dealer advertising to The Exchange or registered Dealers with active paid subscriptions.

Also there's this.

I see nothing in there about members not being able to say where they bought a knife.

Think of all the grown men you made cry today.

Guilt and excitement, what an odd pairing!

Ya, I just operate on the safe side and don't give unpaid vendors airtime if possible.

It's okay to mention where a knife was purchased. However, if it is not a site supporting vendor, do not provide a link nor post ads or direct our members to the site.
