Well I'm not a maker or dealer so wouldn't know those things so thanks and only other thing Elmax still has over Cruwear is unless I'm mistaken and misremembering aspects Elmax is a stainless and Cruwear is not. I am a bit partial to stainless typically.

I have and use Cruwear on a regular basis and have never had problems with it. I suspect that people are feeding off each other as far as tarnishing goes. If I get a little patina on it I clean the blade with Flitz and it comes right off. If you live in a place thats humid and or near the beach, Beware it will get a patina relatively quickly

Any chance that Spyderco will institute a blade replacement policy in case of breakage? They could charge whatever extra it costs, but it would make me much more likely to keep collecting every Golden sprint I can. If BM charges, what $30, spyderco could charge $50-75 for production knives. It’s hard to see how they wouldn’t make money doing so. I’ve never snapped a blade, and it’s unlikely I would need the service but others have mentioned having a favorite blade snapped at the spydiehole and having tossed the rest of it.

I think he said that was his personal preference but that distributors were watching the thread and they are the ones who place the orders.

Definitely cruwear and brown micarta - that would be a must have. But I am a fan of s90v/cf too.
