Wow, honestly I've never heard of Jim Adams but that means nothing there are many custom makers I've never heard of on the forums that make quality knives and I'm not saying JA doesn't make a quality knife as I've never even held or seen one of his knives.

Jim you could be one of the best makers in the world but based on your actions here and reactions to members comments I wouldn't buy a knife from you just based on your lack of professionalism.

I know you said you don't make knives for money but because you enjoy making knives, my question to you is why do you keep bragging about how much you get for your knives?

Now you can quote me in any response you want to make, I'm only offering up my opinion after spending a huge portion of my night reading this thread.

Some things I've gotten for my time reading all the posts, I laughed, I was confused, amused and entertained also disappointed and empathetic toward the OP.

One last thing I'm taking away from this thread is that after reading the OP's posts and yours, I've decided to stop misspelling words on purpose to sound like people really talk, ie...goin' wanna outta, missin', (people who have read my posts know how I spell and write), so I'll be usinggg all the gs I've saved over the last few years and will be more accurate in my spellingggg,(ggot to use up all those gs)

I can understand the OP's broken english as he's from Singapore but I also have to ask you if you were born here in the US or have immigrated to this country, I mean no disrespect towards you with this question, I'm just curious.

I was born in Rhode Island, raised in Kentucky and now live in Cordova, TN want a copy of my birth certificate?
 
I feel bad for Delwin sitting on the other side of the world wondering if he is going to get his money back after all of this.

I'd be willing to chip in to raise the funds to make him whole. I'd also be willing to help him take any legal action he decides to pursue against Mr Adams.

Should we set up a donation fund to cover unscrupulous transactions such as this? Maybe a paypal account that the forum controls? The people that donate could decide when funds should be issued to someone that has been taken advantage of.

I suspect Mr Adams needs some help and maybe if enough of us inquire maybe the State of Tennessee could do something for him.

Tuf, I dare you. What are you going to sue me for. I have a receipt for Delwins money order. What law or laws have I broke? You just accused me of a crime. You are very close to written record for a libel case.

I'm not going to sue you for anything. I am going to find out what can be done and I am offering to help Delwin in any way I can.

The Attorney General's Office is probably a good start but I think we have some better, faster, avenues to explore.

This isn't really my area of expertise. But as a retired Naval Officer I know a number of people that do know something about defrauding people through the US Mail.

Honestly I think you probably need some mental help. I think I would be remiss in not notifying the State of Tennessee. Maybe they can help you become more normal. After seeing this display I think it would be irresponsible to just ignore your cries.
 
Sir, you have the Number. Knock yourself out. But remember it is my tax dollars, not yours and not Delwins on an investigation in to a case I have a receipt for. Plus nothing was ever send By Postal Service except his refund. So what case do you have again.

Jim it is very difficult to talk to you if you keep changing your posts. But Jim it is illegal in every State in the United States to defraud others. I'm not accusing you of anything, you have admitted such in this thread. I have printed the whole thing out before I typed my first response.

If push comes to shove the only possible leg you have to stand on is incompetence. In your case that may be a pretty good leg. You have admitted to lying to Delwin, to keeping his money, teased him about returning/not returning his money.

I don't think you are funny. I think you are damaging to a hobby that the rest of us love. Thousands upon thousands of transactions take place with no problems. You have gone out of your way to damage that. I don't mind going out of my way a bit to see a wrong righted.

Tuf, I have made 200 knives. I have had two complaints, that has manifested in the last two weeks. I dare you to go back and find more cases. I been making knives for 2 years, no complaints. Both have been addressed, by refunds.

So sir if you feel you must destroy me that is up to you. You have to do what you have to do. I gave you the Tennessee AGs number.

I really do suggest you call the TN AG tomorrow. When they come to my house I just show them the receipt for $420.00 where I defrauded Delwin out of his money with a refund of $420.00.

Thank you guys for standing up for me.
Jim is an individual, he is not representing all America, so please dont mix him up with country or god or any of the other human.
Maybe as i say earlier, just let him have the last 7 days. If i really got the money or not then we will see about it.
Jim, how hard is to scan the receipt to the pc??
Mr TUF, from all the post in here from Jim, i think it is enough to kill Jim in any law suit.

mail fraud.

you were given money in exchange for goods you never sent nor intended to send. you have even admited your guilt in emails to Delwin and in this thread.

When he sent you $400 IN THE MAIL and you lied telling him the knife was complete and was in transit to him you committed mail fraud.

No worries here I would not take one from you if you gave it too me you can count on that. Too many honest and straightforward makers to deal with the ones that are not.

That is a commendable record. Why would you ever damage that reputation so badly as you have here? I don't have a dog in this fight but I think you have done irrepairable damage to your career.

Not quite. Delwin had to be pressed to admit he did anything wrong. I'm the one who kept pressing.
He does at least seem to recognize now that design theft is not an admirable practice in the U.S.
Oh and after my trouble on this front, Jim Adams called me a Dumba$$. Pure class, that one. :p
